Ferrari 488 Pista

There was 2 different options/pricelists posted here. One in Italian and another one in German. Two items which are not clear to me, any idea what they are?

-Kit Vetri Abitacolo in Lexan (LEXA) no price. Does it mean all glasses are in lexan or just the bonnet like the Speciale?
- Personaliertes paket (PPAC) 21,500 Eur. What does it include?

 

This is the Free-of-Charge Carbon Package. Its now a must. They raise the price from the car without tax over 21.500 Euro. We paid in Germany 258,000 with tax and now nearly 285.000 Euro with tax. Many people here a pissed off. They also raised some other prices. We in Germany have here the fourth new pricelist since 28.02.2018.

700hp engine and transmission, free of charge with $285K purchase of body panels and suspension.

 

I should receive the pricelist (France) on past Thursday but my dealer told me I will get it on Tuesday
Probably there is update ongoing....let’s see, btw I am ready to pay around 380k euro for a loaded Pista

Does anyone know when the journalists get their hands on the Pista ?

 

A must as in?
1. You must order this option to get the now-no-longer-free carbon bits on Page 47; or
2. You must order this pack on your car, whether you want it or not?

forgive me for my simplistic logic here but how is this free of charge then?

 

Some markets decided to include it immediately hence free whereas it appears some have only now increased their price to include it which is sort of implied by the small print in post 1052's picture and maybe thats why there so much disparity between the initial German price (eur 258 000) and the alleged UK price (gbp 252 000)

 

According to my dealer the £253k UK base price includes the "free of charge" options but you could apparently choose not to have them, if you really don't want to, but then don't expect a refund!

If announcing a lower base price in Europe was some kind of marketing strategy, then it has only created confusion. But at least in the UK, it is pretty clear.

The British magazines have said that they will drive it this summer.

 

when Ferrari will provide official price lists to retailers everything will be clarified. Today only suppositions ...

 

Sounds right.
My allocation says estimated delivery Sept 2019 although with an 812 coming early 2019 I am going to push Pista delivery back to early 2020.
The waiting begins !

 

Here is dubai we have the same base price with the carbon package included.
Still no word when the they will deliver my pista

Sergio Marchionne, the eminently quotable CEO of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), came up with a couple of corkers at the 2018 Geneva motor show.

My favourite, delivered during the Ferrari press conference, was when Marchionne was questioned about the criteria for owning the new 488 Pista.

He responded that the situation will vary from region to region but the minimum requirement is that you must own at least one Ferrari already.

„If you drive a Ford Mustang before,” said Marchionne, “you should go to a Ford dealer for your next car.”

Regarding Ferrari’s pricing strategy, he said: “We are just beginning to explore what our customers are willing to pay. We haven’t begun to explore the upper limit yet.”

First time actually hearing them and seeing them move:

 

Take close notice of the ground clearance. Seems to be lower than the 488 GTB. May be a good idea to order an extra set of front/side carbon fiber winglets in the likely event they get damaged.

 

ELEV mandatory for me!

 

She sounds fruity to me! And looks great from the rear, driving away. Which is the angle that most people will see anyway...

Just watched that video again. What makes it so cool is that it’s just the pure car in motion, not some doctored up marketing video. The Pista exudes a level of excitement and passion I have really only felt for the LaFerrari and the previous supercars. As for the mid-engine 8 cylinders, it’s the most beautiful Ferrari since the 328 and 355 (two of my favorites). It’s a total game changer.
