They only sit bc not priced right...of course the economics come into play but in the grand scheme of things the intangibles are there. They made a lot of TR’s true. How many are left now? How many goods ones will be there in 10 years? Cycles will come and go but the overall values will remain strong.

I will make a spreadsheet later and post if I have time.

I don't know about France but for German dealers you have to divide the price by 1.19 to get the price without tax if you are exporting it.

I have been searching for quite sometime and shamille is exactly right, pull the pin and enjoy! Just like the stock market it's tough to find a bottom to get in!

Also, the overseas market as a whole from what I have seen is still high for prices, but asking vs sold are two very different amounts!!

Well 20% but then the euro is 20% stronger than the dollar so it evens out or close i would think.
I wonder if some owners have fone through exporting their US TR to Europe and sold them. Maybe money to be made if a buyer is lined up.

It will be interesting to see how currencies react if the trade war begins! Since I am from Canada, that plays a lot into overseas car purchases

Make the offer and check up on it every couple of weeks...only really stupid dealers won't cut their losses at some point.

A year ago I spotted a euro 512 tr in Canada. It was the color that I wanted, but had a lot of needs. Made the dealer an offer of what I thought it was worth minus the cost of all repairs and needs plus an extra $25K just because a wanted a good deal. Needless to say, he laughed at me and moved on. So 8 months later I ran across the dealers phone # in my address book, and just for the heck of it called to see if he still had the car. Guess what, he did! We dickered for a while and I ended up buying the car for only $2500 more than my original offer. So patience is a virtue! Now I cant wait to get this car on the road!!!

Buying a TR or an ecotic car should not be treated as an investment or business. Do who cares if it drops another 10%. Buy it and enjoy it because by the time you think you are getting a steal, you might be too damn old to even get in the car ket alone driving it. My 2 cents.

Looks like a nice car. It's Canadian so no mouse belts, that's a plus.

Had serious engine work which begs the question why? And how good was the work done? And was anything overlooked? Why didn't they upgrade the diff since they were that deep?

"Major Service & Engine Restoration Completed September 2017. Work Completed: Completed Full Re-seal Replaced all Gaskets Rebuilt heads and replaced valve seals Replaced all Cylinder sleeves Replaced Timing belts and bearings Replaced Piston rings Replaced rod bearings Replaced main bearings Polished Crankshaft Replaced Hoses and Thermostat Replaced Cooling fan Replaced all fluids including brakes and Transmission."

If all checks out, and the work was done well, I think the right price in this market is $150,000. All you need to do is remove the shields and go!

This car has been for sale around 6 plus months. Be interesting to see what trans and diff serial numbers are to see if any factory updates were done. Love the shields!

    Just listed:

    https://www.ferraris-online.com/pages/carintro.php?reqcardir=FE-TEST-88808

Fresh Full Service. 25,000 miles. Complete owner history and service records back to 1997. Asking $100K from a dealer. From the ad the only thing off are the wheels, which some may like.

So yes, I think things are still coming down even as the weather warms. Only time capsule cars are bringing high numbers.

Are u serious? This car has ugly wheels, a DvD player for heaven’s sake inside!! No rear shelf, not the right knob on thr gear lever, painted skirts... this worth 85k tops. They trashed it.
And they don’t even have the original rims.
