Strange - I tried to post in another thread and my post just sort of...vanished. Anyway, I have a Maserati MCV from back when Ferrari was charitably trying to rescue the brand and I also have a sagging visor, mine on the driver's side (LH). From the photos I've seen posted, it looks somewhat the same and I'm wondering if anyone knows if the innards are interchangeable? Also, is Dave still doing repairs? Good luck with the knee replacement - I've torn my MCL twice and I suspect that's like a hangnail relative to a knee replacement.
Another visor fixed by Dave! In my case, the post in the hinge had been bent to try to keep the visor up. Dave reported that the broken plastic piece had been glued in so it wouldn't turn. He said it took a lot of screwing around to get the piece out. All fixed now, thanks Dave.
Hi Dave, I have a 550 left side visor (RHD car) that needs fixing. Let me know how I can send to you. I am newbie so can't PM you yet, so feel free to PM me. Thanks!
I have ordered new parts because the last batch wasn't up to specifications but they won't be here for about three weeks or more. This means I can't take any new visors for repair until then. I will post when the new sleeves are in stock.
Hi Dave, I am new to this forum and this is my first post on this site. I recently purchased a 550 and have droopy sun visors on both passenger and driver side. Are you still helping others with this issue? Would you mind private messaging me as I'm not sure how to contact a member directly. Thank you!
All visor repair info is now in the classified section under Ferrari parts per the requirements of the site admins https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/550-575-sunvisor-repair.497194/#post-145299707
