Ferrariparts.co.uk are listing 119052/A as the current alternative to the original part numbers.

Unlucky that its the TDC - that one is a bear to get to I think

I think that you are right about the location looks like it is buried underneath this rad hose and oil filter? Anything else I need to remove to get to it

I accessed my TDC sensor from below. Car was on a lift which made it easier as I could stand underneath and extend my arm up to the correct location to reach the fasteners.

The Tacho and TDC sensors are same for an 88.5 328 and I guess for yours as well. Part numbers are different but I received from Eurospares 2 of the very same with part number 119052. Originally the part number of the TDC is 128364. To make the 119052 fit i needed to increase the 2 holes in the mounting plate to a sleeve, see picture. Its a kind of difficult to get to the TDc sensor but with patience you will work it out.

    Hi.
Lots of great info in this thread from knowledgeable people.
Did replacing the TDC sensor solve your no-start issue, qedqeq?

Sounds like he’s had a rough year. Seems to be a very nice guy.

Well, since he seemed to identify the problem and hasn't posted in 4 months, you can probably assume it did.

And your contribution to the thread is?

Welcome to Ferrarichat. I notice you are both new members. If you expect every "problem" thread to end with a "solution" you are going to be very disappointed. :(

Absolutely no criticism was intended (nor I think implied in my wording - unlike the other poster). Even when things are going well, life is crazy busy and sometimes, hopefully not, unfortunate things happen to people or family. I’ve had the latter in spades, the last couple of years. Given all the other things possibly going on in people’s lives, circling back to a car forum often ranks way down the list of priorities.
I was just hoping to learn a bit more about this technical issue.
    Regards to all.

He did say that the TDC sensor returned bad value when tested, which was the prevalent diagnosis on the thread. Peace, life goes on.
