Yeah, S1S. My Eagle partners bought it. Not sure exactly why. Cool looking plane though.

What part do these guys want you to play--exactly?

    Can you trust these guys?

I just don't want you to be throwing money into the air with someone else's project.

If they were looking for a much more challenging airplane to land, then I believe they found it. Supposedly makes the Eagle feel like a trike.

Can always take it to Reno!

May have been a big mistake to install a springboard landing gear on it. They have been known to fight back in a botched landing. Been there done that.

I got to thinking about seeing Betty Skelton fly her Pitts and how good she was in it. Toss up between her and Patti Wagstaff. Both absolutely great pilots.

When we finished hanging the engine on the L-3, we ran it for the first time at 2130, Sunday night, in my front yard. The neighbors never complained....at least we never heard about it. I think that they became numb to our activities. We had three airplanes in different stages of disrepair or repair at the house ....and on the patio and in the living room and the recreation room and front yard and the carport.
