If just a bumper swap, definitely not. If everything else, it's still a "coverted to Euro spec," not a true Euro. Like being born in France, vs becoming a citizen.
Attached is the latest. No. How could it? Ferrari designated what market each car was made for as indicated by eighth letter of the full VIN. http://www.red-headed.com/vin_market.html
Thomas, Here are all my notes when I compare our listing line by line. Don't see any bad intention when I talk about the order. I don't notice the location when I see ads but I will from now, I'm sorry about that. 44969 GTSQV Euro Rosso(boxer)-Nero-Nero 45085 GTSQV Euro Rosso-Nero-Nero 46795 GTSQV Euro Rosso-Crema-Rosso 47477 GTSQV Euro RHD (!) Rosso-Beige The 48427 on your listing is 2 steps before than it should be I suspect strongly 48907 GTSQV to be an Euro model because it is in the middle of an Euro batch of car before the new US engine (and lot of more change) appeared during dec83 production. 49067 GTSQV Euro Rosso-Nero 49677 GTSQV Euro Rosso-Beige-Castoro 55375 GTSQV Euro Rosso-Beige The 56839 on your listing is 1 step before than it should be The 56529 on your listing is 2 steps before than it should be The 59001 on your listing is 1 step after than it should be The 59273 on your listing is 1 step before than it should be
Where are these cars, Europe or North America? I'm only tracking the ones in NA but am interested in the others too. Here's a new one on ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/273001384546?ul_noapp=true Car looks familiar but didn't have it listed. 52349 Attached is my latest and greatest, as we close out 2017. Happy New Year everyone! Hope to have my car (55057) back soon from a complete restoration. Been a long and arduous experience. More on that later.
Looks like you don't have this one: https://www.daveshotrodgarage.com/for-sale I think someone on here posted it for a friend in the for sale section. Out of curiosity, anyone know how bad that dent is in the front to repair? Curious because of where it is it might be difficult to beat out.
44969 - 45085 (sold by Bonhams) - 46795 - 47477 (RHD) - 49067 - 49677 (advert in FerrariClubOfAmerica) all these cars are in USA.
TM, first, thank you for this research, I found it really interesting to know how many other Euro cars are in the U.S. Thought you might want to update your list as I am the one who purchased 55281 from Scottsdale Ferrari back at the end of September last year.
A new one just popped up on ebay. Advertised as a 85 but definitely a 84. 50425 https://www.ebay.com/itm/1985-Ferrari-308/192564904852?hash=item2cd5c34394:g:5wYAAOSweUNbHcFO&vxp=mtr
The vehicle should have been imported directly from the factory because the date of import is the date where close chassis number were delivered in Europe....
As of this month and based on our unscientific, informal research, 166 Euro QVs are presently accounted for in North America. That includes destroyed or known totaled QVs as well.
I purchased 52789 back in April. Let me know if you need any more info. Thanks for keeping this list going! Very interesting!
Five cars on my list are totaled or salvaged. I guess that leaves 161 potentially still on the road. Certainly not definitive but better than a wild guess.
if anyone knows of any Euro car made in April 84 for sale, please let me know (should be around 496xx+) I would be keen to look at Red/Tan or Red/Crema, ideally with factory 16inch wheels and with the optional front spoiler not too concerned about mileage and fine with both GTS/GTB
Correct me if I'm wrong Thomas but I think this one just pops up: https://www.ebay.com/itm/263853568141?ul_noapp=true
54843. I saw the auction earlier but didn't see the chassis number. I'll add it. Thanks. Thorn, this car is sequential to yours.
yes, interesting. thorn, would you mind giving us your assembly sequence number. On the car from the ad, we can see it's ending with 20 but I would love to have the first digit. Also thorn, do you have a picture of your ID plate from the engine bay, there is a code which indicate the CH market.
Not sure which plate/label shows what (I'm not much of a historian), so here's all the ones from the engine bay. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
On the last plate, below Ferrari, there is a CH 0251 30. This is a Swiss market car Your engine number should be around 266X right?
