Lol, God bless you Alberto you do love your 308s. To the point of almost being blindly fanatical!!! That's probably a good thing though as it's what will keep these cars around a long time. Enjoy in good health.

"Of course, the Ferrari 288 Evo was never supposed to be a road car -- that was left for the milder homologation special, the Ferrari 288 GTO. The Evo, with its massive wing, NACA ducts and 650 hp twin-turbocharged V8 was only supposed to race. That never happened, as its designation for FIA’s Group B was too late, and the infamous rally group was nixed before Ferrari could throw the car into competition." As for the original question, when someone pulls up to my house with a new 488 on a trailer and asks if I'll trade my 308 GTB QV for it, I'll let you know.
Other then oils, coolant and the 3/4 year belt change that 308 owners also enjoy, what other extra running costs am I up for ? And performance of the 328 was higher than the 308 Qv.
Depends how much you use it, and if you ever start maintaining it properly When was it done last and how many km since? What about all those dumb servo motors for the heating and ventilation? *shudder*
Yes, you are right: that's the reason why I wrote "if you rarely use your car, almost never". I usually do 500 km/year with each car, so they are every 50 years… ciao
Why do people drive these wonderful cars so little? I’ve driven mine more in the three years I’ve owned it than than in the previous 20 years. If you’re not driving them, you’re missing out on 80% of the pleasure. Paul
First: if you have five cars, 500 x 5 = 2500 km (non so low) Second: sometimes I'm happy just looking at the car in the garage Third: we are going MUCH offtopic! ciao
Correct Alberto, my car has only done 17,800 km, have a while to go before I need to worry. But getting back to my original point I bought my 328 over the 308 because on paper it offered many advantages (value clearance issues aside) and there were at the time a few more to chose from.
Correct, he was one of our crew. No need for me to carry a cross through, the Star of David however...
when I got my 328 GTS in 2014 (1986 model) it had almost 30000 km. I immediately sent the car at official Ferrari Assistance Point here in Cadelbosco, Bonini Auto Service. They changed the belts and the waterpunp and checked the valve clearance (I still have the pictures with the camshafts removed). Result: The clearance was ok, no adjustment needed. And Bonini told me that, in his opinion, that was the first time that car saw that check. 28 years, 30000 km, standard usage (no races no track days and so on): No wear at all, still the correct play ciao
I wouldn't swap it for a 488, but I have found something else that caught my fancy. So the GTB is going on the block... Never thought I'd sell it, but things change.
