I think the professional designers have reached the end and have no more ideas.

At some point i totally agree with you. Sometimes i'm thinking what Flavio Manzoni is thinking! Personally, i don't find the reason why this car must be in existence. Just a rebodied 812S...

I’m not really a fan of the car itself but I do love the idea of what they’re doing - building unique, limited number variations. It harkens back to their earlier years, which is great. But, the needs a little more going on with the design. The hood has nothing and the sides are dull. It needs more flair.

This picture made me appreciate the beauty in this car. I like it. I like the 2 seater better than the single seater, however I realy like that they made the single seater LHD and not 'center hand drive'. Reminds me of the old days. I gotta admit I was surprised at the announcement of these cars, and while I think Pininfarina again would have done a better job - particularly in the back, where the car looks unfinished - this is quite nice, and I'm glad they'll be making more of these one-offs in the future.

I absolutely love it. Been a while since a new car was introduced and made me look at it over and over in a single day.

It's beautiful. And refreshing not having to explain why this or that part looks a certain way other than just pretty.

It is easily my favorite car since the LaFerrari.

I think the title says it all. The OP is asking Vintage lovers to comment.

OK, what's next ? Some one just has to disguise any topic with "Vintage" and its all good. How about "What does Vintage crowd think of new Lexus SUV ?" or "Which toilet paper is preferred by Vintage crowd ? (Let's have a poll !!!)"

Good luck with either of these cars complying with U.S. road car safety standards (DOT/NHTSA).

It’s Ferrari content, and is obviously an attempt at capturing some vintage Ferrari mystique and so is entirely relevant.

Surely you can tell the difference between a Ferrari and a Lexus SUV, or a Ferrari and toilet paper, even without a poll. And, if not, I’m confident that you’d be willing to give it a try.

Thanks for your supporting confidence in my ability to differentiate between those choices, but apparently there are some that can't between a "Vintage" and modern Special Projects or latter and "Recreations & Non-Period Rebodies". ;)

Besides, just about every Ferrari production model, whether limited or mass, I've ever seen features "an attempt at capturing some vintage Ferrari mystique" and therefor should be OK to have a featured threads in Vintage section ? Surely would make variety of forum sections, moderating or reporting less complicated, maybe even irrelevant ?

This is different as Ferrari has announced this new range of models called Icona which will be limited edition models much more heavily influenced on old models.

That still don't make them "Vintage (thru 365 GTC4)" or "Recreations & Non-Period Rebodies", right ?
Regardless of their styling or other intended marketing gimmicks, all I see them as NEW cars.

Although they are indeed new cars, the thread is asking the Vintage community, and therefore the Recreation forum is the most appropriate.

Two Moderators have already opined. You can give it a rest.

Personally I think the SP2 looks better than the SP1, which looks a bit unbalanced to me. This idea of building homages to their old cars rather than the silly continuations Aston and Jaguar are knocking out makes a lot more sense to me.

Oddly for a limited production car if they make the 500 that I’ve seen quoted it will have one of the highest production runs of any open top or roadster V12 Ferrari! Someone will no doubt correct me but I think only the 575 Supamerica will have been made in bigger numbers?
