I had sushi/sashimi last night at a restaurant. I have to go into downtown Vancouver this afternoon. I'll probably get seafood at Joe Fortes, wait for rush hour to die down before heading home.

Ended up at an Italian restaurant with my parents. This place: https://www.lapiazzadario.com/ I had the calamari fritta as an app and linguine ai Frutti di mare as the main course. Very good little spot. It next door to the Vancouver Italian cultural centre so it better be authentic and good! House red wine was excellent.

I made pesto linguine. Used Kirkland pesto. Linguine two nights in a row. Tonight I have to pick up my brother at the ferry terminal. So its back to my hometown and I'll get a pizza at the Greek/Italian place. Until 1986 in British Columbia stores had to close on Sundays by law. You also couldn't sell liquor. People started selling cars at our local mall on Sundays. They still do it today. So I'll check out the car sales, see if anything interesting.

Image Unavailable, Please Login Wife and I shared a two meat plate at Fuschak's in San Marcos. Brisket was good. Nice oak smoke. Turkey breast - moist and flavorful. Sides were OK, the smoky, spicy pinto beans were the better of the two...T

I just grabbed some sushi/sashimi take out...………. Doing a day trip into the states. Probably hit up the Indian casino buffet for dinner. I think its seafood night. From my USA trips I often bring back loose change. It can't be spent here in Canada. So it collects in a jar. Excluding pennies, I have two dollars that I'm blowing on a $1.6 billion lotto ticket. Good use of the change.
Funny enough, Tamas chose a mexican restaurant that I hadn't been to in probably 15 years when my dad's offices were just down the street. I thought that was great. Oh! And he brought me some legit maple syrup! Thanks again for the Tamas, I've already took a little sample taste and it's great!
