Weather cooling down in AZ. Over to another F-chatters place for lunch. He also owns a vantage in Tungsten but we opted to take the 458 out. Nice cars all for sure. Love my 09. Robb Image Unavailable, Please Login
Sorry I have been crazy with work since March... almost time for the winter break and lots of time with cars down here. I will try to catch up... Robb
Beautiful day in AZ. 80 degrees. Heading up to flagstaff via the back roads to see my daughter at college and bring her some winter clothes. First stop was gas... Robb Image Unavailable, Please Login
I really could not have asked for a more beautiful driving day... Robb Image Unavailable, Please Login
I will update the group on my mileage.... as I know we really care about that. I’m not sure on how that will work out. I do wish the paddles were longer like those on the Ferrari’s. But I love using the paddles on the Aston. Robb
The car is quite the hooligan with you able to break the rear loose and really feel the push. Great for two lane brief passing Zones. It has just the right amount of power (more than our F355’s and I have never felt like it was needing more. I cannot say the same for most non-turbo Porsche 911 I have driven which have always felt slow. So for an event - Aston FTW. Robb Image Unavailable, Please Login
Great places to stop along the journey. This one near Pine, AZ behind me is the hunting ground for Bald Eagles and other raptors. I think my favorite angle is the front 3/4 because of that nose, wide hips, and stance. It helps by reducing the number of blades in the grill or by going with the v12s mesh... These photos are all with the iPhone X by the way. Nice to always have it along... Got back to the house tonight and was pleasantly surprised that the brake dust wasn’t as bad as I expected. Here is the front after 400+ miles. Not really worse than our F355. Robb Image Unavailable, Please Login
One thing I will have to get checked out is the headlight alignment. It seemed that I was overdriving my headlights with only 45 feet of bright light on the road in front of me on the left side. Using the brights helped on many of the rural curves driving back at high speed at night. I’m not sure if they were adjusted differently to pass the previous states inspection requirements (PA) but I intend to get that fixed pronto. They simply do not currently project far enough to see things that could be in your way. Crazy dark out of this zone as you can see... Robb Image Unavailable, Please Login
Next two weeks, we will have the vantage up on our lift installing the fabspeed cats and x-pipe. Extra horses and more noise. Robb
