It is an LP400S S2, I inspected it closely yesterday for someone and today I can confirm that it indeed did sell to an enthusiast home remaining in the USA.
Someone sent me this fantastic Countach Reunion image from IG, Jimmy N and dad in LP500S DLA12575, he looks good in the car after 35 years! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Sorry my mistake for the typo, meanwhile, the Tabacco interior of this LP500S is gorgeous IMO, I know of just one other LP500S with the same leather interior and it was delivered to original Miura SV owner, Bud Romak, now in Japan Image Unavailable, Please Login
Correct, that car was DLA12596 I believe, also now in Japan, perhaps they did those interiors in batches as the cars are not far off, FWIW I never saw that car personally.

Fantastic to share these cars with family. By the way, IMO the Countach looks even more menacing without the wing.

Okay I came across some more old photos of my dads Countach. My mothers brothers looking slick next to the black beast in Mount Lebanon in 1983. I think I need to scan this first image and make a poster out of it, my uncle looks so badass!
