    Hi.
Doing the shift shaft seals and some other stuff on my -85 GTS QV. Have the seats and tunnel out and was wondering which areas of the interior are real leather respective vinyl to do some leatherique while i have access all over. The dash and door armrests are vinyl but the door cards and tunnel look like leather but not sure. Seats seating surfaces are of course leather but the sides and back are probably vinyl, feel so anyhow. The parking brake pouch? is real leather, this can be seen on the inside.
Anyone who can help with this?

My ‘81 GTSi was bought by my father in 1985. It’s all real leather.

In my '81, it is all leather EXCEPT the dash and arm rests.

    Both black vinyl.

Not an invited comment but...consider a rebuild your shifter while you have it all exposed. It's a super easy one day benchtop DIY job. The two I did on my cars were filthy gross and dried up internally even though they worked "fine" before the rebuilds. Afterward...silky smooth shifting through the box and you can put new bushings from the shifter to the shaft as well.

I do not believe any 308 had all leather interior. I believe vinyl was used in dash and a few other places like tunnel and on the pillars.

Yep. Found dried Coke, a US dime (10 Cents) and even a few dinosaur bones in mine.

So simple to do, I wouldn't even call it a 'rebuild' project.

You know back then you can pretty much custom order anything from the factory, you want red leather dash they will do it, which I know of someone that has one made like that from the factory, you want body color bumpers, they will do that too, etc. anyway the point is anything other than the usual is usually a custom order from the factory.

Thanks for all replies. This was what i thought also, dash and armrests vinyl, other parts leather.
Good comment from Hannibal308 of the shifter, did that already and did not find any treasures but old hardened grease blanded with dust and other materia not supposed to be there! Haven't been able to drive the car yet, no driving weather in Sweden, but the stick now has a real click-clack feeling and sound when shifting. Put in the whole Verell kit with delrin bushes and X-seals. The bushes by the way did not need to be pressed in the shaft which i was expecting, they just slided in. Don't see so far any problem with this though, they will probably center themselves as they sit best.
Found also a screwdriver under passenger seat, could it be all the way from Maranello! I know the cars history and the seats have never been off before.
