I hate it when the bye teams win every game.
Thanks. Cowboys D threw a real clunker today. Rams controlled the line. That Byron Jones penalty before half was a tough pill to swallow. I figured he'd be involved in a key play that did us in...T
One possession away Tom. The Cowboys were in this until the end. The defense let you down on the 3rd down scramble by Goff that sealed the win for the Rams. Otherwise it would have been fun watching the Cowboys on a final drive for the tie.
I think, though, that I saw that the Dolphins finished 31st in offense and 29th in defense, so to win as many games as they did almost seems like a miracle! I guess they had just enough games where either the offense didn't suck or the defense didn't suck.
That's impressive to be that far down on O and D rankings and actually have more than a few wins. It'll be interesting to see how the Fins handle their QB situation...T
I haven't commented all year on my 'Boys but will do so this one time now that the season is over. There is hope. We have the youngest team in the league and Dak appears to be getting better as time goes on. We have a tremendous linebacking core and I believe we will add Earl Thomas to the back end in FA. The O line was crippled from the start this year with the HUGE loss of T Frederick who hopefully will be back next year. We need to draft DT and O line again. Linehan needs to be run out of town on a rail. Overall I am impressed with the way they held in there. As to the game I thought the Rams were the better team but they defiantly benefited from some questionable ref calls such as the ******** "hands to the face" call on Jones and the REALLY ******** "in the grasp" sack. (Not to mention the hold on Taco Charlton that allowed the Rams to get their last touchdown). Next years champions,. again.
I agree with your assessment Mark. I think they will be the clear NFC West winner next year both because of their improvement and the lack thereof by the other 3 teams (there's zero hope for the GMen). I thought the hands to the face call was legit, but the in the grasp call was one of the most ridiculous ones I've seen ever.
Mark great assessment. The hands to the face , although a rule, in that situation I thought the referees could have swallowed their whistle on that one as it wasn’t flagrant enough. The in the grasp was complete nonsense. As I ask every year at this time, these are best of the best (officials) that the NFL has to offer ??
Amazing isn't it? Of course the excuse is well they haven't worked together all year. The NFL has to go to all full time refs at some point.
On a side note, on CBS they just said Bob Kuechenberg died yesterday. I immediately thought oh yea I remember him well with the Pats playing against him twice a year. Then they put up a graphic "1947 - 2019" and said he was 71 years old, ugh, I was born the same year, same age.
Agree. Big issue will be $$$ and their willingness to spend it. Dak, Zeke, Tank and a few others will need to get paid. Without a first round pick, we will see what kind of draft savant Will McClay is. With their ping pong records of late, I worry that next year will be a direct year, because they'll have a tougher schedule and NFC is stacked. They do get the AFC East opponents, which helps, but NFC Central, which doesn't...T
As I posted last week, I never count the Pats out. Today they are displaying exactly why. Despite everyone jumping off their bandwagon (ESPN analysts I mean) and all this talk of Brady on the decline, they look like the Pats of old
Can’t give them two weeks to prepare I love it Cold FBoro. Loud. Rowdy. Rivers is getting hit a LOT. And TB is doing TB things. Like a surgeon. As it’s been said this season among the fans “We’re a running team now!”
