sweet! i will look for you. we are taking the '61 xke flat floor (red w/ black interior); the austin healey 100 (aqua over black), and my mother's 456mgta (titanio/carbonio) i will be between all of them.
Will be visiting my parents this weekend on the East Coast. Considering driving over with my dad since I have my 996TT down there. Last minute decision, most likely.
I'll be Down There for the Show, but the 430 is "Snowed In" darn Michigan weather... Technically wouldn't Drive it down there anyways... But will be there for the Show
I was at this show last year with my 1968 Fiat 500, one of the best events I have ever attended. So bummed that I could not make it this year! Have fun.
I will be there. I am parking the corvette section. Don't freak out this year. We are charging $20 per person to get into the show, The city is complaining about the size of the show. Tom has decided to charge $20 to reduce the size.
Going for the first time this year and staying at Inn on 5th. Taking my 458 spider with a group from Tampa area. Looking forward to a great weekend!
I moved to GA / NC 6 years ago, but this show is one of the best. I would not mind spending $20 to be a spectator. BT
I really hope the 20 dollar fee thins out the crowd. And raises a lot of money for St Matthews House, etc. Couldn't bring a car this year due to a conflict I had in the morning, but looking forward to it.
There are a Ton of People there. Wondering how your gonna Control People simply walking in? There are so many streets leading to 5th.
Emily from Ricambi America is headed down there tomorrow for us. Look for her, wearing a Ricambi America t-shirt and be sure to say 'hello' !
I just saw this event. When are you guys leaving and do you have room for another car to tag along? I may try and convince the wife to go...
I’m supposed to be driving down with an Iso and DB Aston but as of last night the front bank is misfiring (distributor?) and depending on what we find tomorrow I may not make it. Fingers crossed.
Walking in is free. Parking isn’t. Wasn’t this in March at some point in time? That’s when I’m usually there in Q1 of each year. Matt
Really? I'm surprised on both counts. There are so many restaurants that you can enter from the rear and spill out onto 5th. My point of comparison is the PVGP. There’s no way of keeping spectators out. And they shouldn’t be kept out. Matt
i dont mind having an entry fee, i just think it should have been $10 instead of $20. but, this is naples after all so i guess we are lucky it isnt $50 ! luckily we dont need to worry since we usually take a few cars every year anyway.
A lot of us are wondering how they’ll pull it off. We shall see. Good news. After an intense session with the ignition system the car seems good to go. Should see you all there.
I wish I was in Naples this weekend! I often am. I'll be very curious to hear how it goes. 5th has so many entrances that it's going to be hard to keep non-payers out. Unless they use a wristband or something to identify people who haven't paid. I predict that people who pay are going to be upset by the number of people who didn't. Matt
Entrants are given wristbands this year so I expect the public will be as well. It’s really gotten way too crowded and I think the admission fee is designed primarily to cut crowd size and not just a money grab. There had been talk of changing venue so let’s hope this works and ir doesn’t become another “ golf course” event.
