So Bottas won his F1 race this year. Toto got that out of the way. Now they can give the rest of the season to Hamilton again

 

Mercedes knows that EVERYBODY knows that Hamilton's Kryptonite is his mental state [Remember how erratic his driving was in the past whenever he had problems with Nicole Scherzinger?]. It is fair to assume that the team is feeding Lewis the same bull they are trying to make us believe, and not telling him the truth about today, that he was beaten fair and square.

 

And rightly so, because he knows that Bottas has nothing to lose this year. I'm calling it now, EVEN if Bottas wins the Championship this year he WILL be dropped by the team.

 

Re leclerc not stopping for a new set of boots and a shot at fastest lap; did he have any soft tyres left to use?

I think Toto should get a Golden Globe for best director and best lead actor for their pre season farce. This was obviously the best one yet. Lil Baby Elton Hamdashian can get the best actor in a supporting role golden globe.

 

Hamilton didn't seem to pissed off. I would even say he was enjoying himself post race.

Can't wait for the next one, all eyes will be in Bottas.

 

Already Merc is saying Hamilton's tub was damaged.

Translation: don't expect Bottas to beat him again this year

 

Of course Elton’s not concerned. He can see the rest of his season now as roles will be reversed from here forward.

 

I'm trying to stay positive about Ferrari's 2019 prospects, but they sure are making it a hard task!

 

Thank goodness I never woke up early to watch the race!

Race was a snooze and I had really high hopes. Mclaren look stupid as hell.

 

I wish I could dislike this post but it’s true.

RB and Merc have taken a different aero approach. Makes you wonder who was right and how long to fix it.

 

Is it not curious that both lead drivers for Merc and Ferrari were outpaced by the 2nd driver...? Why? Were the lead drivers on more of a conservative set up? Was LeClerc and Bottles on a more aggressive or experimental set up?

 

One team had team orders and the other did not.

Seems like Ferrari is intent on dragging Vettel to the end.

 

Team orders at the first race...pathetic.

 

I get that but why was the second car quicker on both teams?

 

Two different reasons

Hamilton had a problem

Leclerc is faster than Vettel.

 

To be fair I think Vettel knew there was nothing to gain at the end and was coasting the car home to protect it. He knew Leclerc was no threat.

 

There are rumors of Ferrari power problem. Additionally there are reports of set up problems as well. Yes that’s a bit obvious however I have heard that Vettel is not good as setting up the car.
