Very brave move opting out of the lifter, seat lifter and upgraded sound on an SV car with a special color option! Totally agree with others who have advised option it up. You could skip things like mat carbon and leather but once you tick special colour there are certain things that become staple from what I was told here.
its specced with every carbon piece possible on the exterior. There isn't anything else to add. Ive never used the seat lifter or needed a lift on my 488. The rest of the interior options are useless to me. and I dont understand your comment on the "special color" option. Its a standard color. Tour de France Blue.
So the blue is a no cost? Was led to believe it was. On the other items your call of course - just was advised those things future proof the car. We all buy with best intentions to keep but how many times has that changed? Maybe some of these options have more value in certain geos but out here without a lifter is a deal breaker for most unless the price reflects the disposition....same goes with the RS lifter.
Tour de France Blue- standard color. Car is specced with every exterior carbon option. Interior its just leather or different colored alcantara which I dont want. Or you can do a full carbon dash- which I dont want. Other than that- here are the options that are available - I just have zero interest in them for me personally. Apple CarPlay. - no thanks Adaptive Front Light System - no thanks Anti Stone Chipping Film - will do my own once car is delivered from my installer Front Bumper Protection Film - same Dedication Plate in Silver- no clue what this is Front Suspension Lifter - have not needed it once in my almost 3 years of 488 ownership Handy Fire Extinguisher - nope Functional Equipment - WTF is this? Heat-insulating windscreen - I might get this living in the Arizona summers High Emotion Low Emission Package - standard Inner and Outer Electrochromatic Mirrors + HomeLink - I cant get the damn homelink to work on my 488 - not bothering with Pista as I cant imagine its any better Radio Navigation System & Bluetooth -- getting this Rear Parking Camera - comes standard Front and Rear Parking Cameras - dont want a front camera Personalization Pack - not sure what this is for 36k Smoker's Kit -dont smoke Integated Audio System - regular radio is fine for me High Power Hi-Fi Sysem - 10k for stereo in a track car? I have the upgraded stereo in my 488. it still sucks. 20" Spare Wheel Kit - can call 40 flat bed trucks for what they charge for a spare wheel
Here are the exterior options: Two Tone Body Paint - nope Brake Calipers in Aluminum Color Brake Calipers in Gloss Black Brake Calipers in Blue Brake Calipers in Grigio Scuro Brake Calipers in Gold Color Brake Calipers in Rosso Corsa Brake Calipers in Rosso Scuderia Brake Calipers in Giallo Modena - yes Carbon Fiber Front Flaps - yes Carbon Fiber Side Air Splitter. - yes Carbon Fiber Engine Compartment - yes Carbon Fiber Rear Diffuser - yes Front Airvents In Carbon Fiber - yes Carbon Fiber Sill Cover - yes Carbon Fiber Wheel Caps - no. doesn't match rest of yellow accents Sport Exhaust Pipes- nope - they all turn black after some driving Titanium Sport Exhaust Pipes - nope Carbon Fiber Rear Moulding - yes Scuderia Ferrari Shields on Fenders - yes Two-Tone Stripe Racing Stripe - yes Ferrari Historical Colors - getting standard color 20" Forged Gold Rims - dont like the gold rims 20" Matt Grigio Corsa Painted Forged Wheels - not like these- prefer the standard Carbon Fiber Wheels - these would be great but not sure worth the money 20" Chromed Painted Forged Wheels - nope so car is "optioned up" - cant really add too much more.
The lifter is a must have for resale. CF wheels are a must have in my book but many are passing. Seems like these wheels are causing delays.
Car lifter? Plenty of threads on this. Its not essential where I live. Have never needed it and I take my car on and off a lift weekly. And I have a somewhat steep driveway.
Speciales don’t seem to have a hard time selling ... there are so few that the “must have” 458 options just don’t apply. I realize the Pista isn’t a limited edition but the star of the show is the engine ... can’t imagine a lack of lifter or standard radio is going to hurt. Buy what you want and enjoy the crap out of it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I think it goes way beyond resale. Does anyone have any idea just how much that carbon fiber front bar is worth? We aren't talking 488 splitter $'s here. Carbon wheels are showy but impractical for those who plan using their cars a lot. I guess if they weren't so expensive to replace it would be a different story.
That is in fact the package which includes the front wing, diffusor, side air splitters, sills and engine covers in carbon. Without the package, these parts will be black plastic, even if selected sepereately.
A new bumper with the additional CF parts, painted and fitted at the dealer should come for around 40k. The unpainted bumper alone has a list price of 20k $ according to the spare parts list.
It isn’t so much aren’t getting as can’t get. When I built mine it had been removed as an option. They were unable to be added between submission and now completed production. I have seen one set advertised on eBay for 44k. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
So you select the personalization pack instead of each individual piece in carbon?? It comes out about 10k less that way. No complaints here by me to save the money.
You are going to more likely damage the front bumper if you hit a pot hole or dip in the road. A lift isn’t going to save you there. The loft is for negotiating steep driveway and such and as I’ve stated numerous times, I personally have never needed it on my current 488.
