Here it is live https://www.lloydsauctions.com.au/classic-cars/ and here are results to date 2.40 pm https://www.lloydsonline.com.au/AuctionLots.aspx?smode=0&aid=11578&_ga=2.90826458.1169632167.1554506059-640679493.1541649071 Dumb as dogpoo prices, museum must have big mob there/on line.
Talking about dumb as dog poo, how are ya? That guy's loving my old GT4.... Said he'd happily have paid much more for it.
It was total BS. Marketed as a fire sale, ATO as mortgagee, no reserve, blah, blah, blah. Just a story to suck in the woodies. I heard the 365 GT4 sold for $135K, but it may have just been the high bid.
Ferrari sold. As above $136K '92 Tr $270K..I thought that fair value....check what's on carsales. '78 512BB $520K. ;69 Queen $380K Super America $510. All the rest passed in.
How do you know it sold? All it said was final bid and then auction “closed” Now all I see is this Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yeah they all say that. I watched it. The 365 went to a buyer in the room as did the Super, the Queen and either the TR or 512....can't remember which, the other went on line or phone. Lloyds and Pickles both suit the p...ks at the museum by not posting 'sold' As with the Pickles auction about a year ago shiploads were passed in.
Wasn't the TR LHD? That doesn't help. Super America is a dumb price.......can't see the value. Silver 512BB was beautiful
Results were live streamed on the Lloyds' Auctions page on Facebook. Use the link above as a guide for which Lots are in which video... Lots 10 to 310 ... https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=1190541547773960 Lots 315 to 690 ... https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=402923357156239 Lots 695 to 1000 ... https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=2002459546729374
All BS PP....They have been running up the auction from day one...I don't believe any of the significant cars sold...They have been playing the auction game for years...I think the Queen Mary as well as the 365 and 512 have sold multiple times at auction and still done the sales run at just about every state dealer since the auctions...As Greg said there is no transparency here at all....In the current market a true " fire sale " would only realise half of the expected price if you were lucky...My 1 cent worth....
Bargain!! https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/1996-Ferrari-F355-Berlinetta-Manual/SSE-AD-59400 Manual too Sent from my SM-G930F using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Interesting how you can now buy a 488 for less than a 458. Is this a trend that will continue? Ie. Will the 458 long term be worth more than 488, presumably because last NA V8?
458 is an Italian "drivers car" in every sense, with a screaming engine that loves to rev. It's the best V8 Ferrari for 20 years. 488 is a torque monster with a booming exhaust but no real personality. An AMG Merc does the same job.
I often wonder if releasing numerous different variations of the same model effects the exclusivity and in turn appeal of the “standard”model . 2 cents, throw fish Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
You're right, but Ferrari weren't the first to do it and in the long run, if the standard cars are good enough, they do well. 355 Berlinettas being a good example. The end_of_production_run special was an American idea, the first example I can think of being the "K code" Mustang in 1965.
