Aussie Ferrari Spotters Thread??

What about Odyssey dry cell batteries. Had one in my RX3 which sat for 4 months. started up straight away. But very pricey. not much change from $500

 

Odyssey used to be good batteries also. Used them over the years in my old Ford Fairlane with a massive sound system in the boot.

Didn't realize they still sold them, thought they were called Orbital batteries these days.

 

I agree with everyone else.... More likely to be the battery, but it's not unusual for a 355 to have alternator trouble either. Anyway, easily tested.

 

You can get it rebuilt

Nah, they are different to the ones Gizz is talking about.

These Optima batteries are good, we use them in our underground 12v machines now.

We get a couple of years out of them too, which is pretty good for the condition they operate in and for what they do.

Put one of these in your Ferrari and you will be right for many years.

Actually.................might have to get one myself for my Ferrari.

The Optima Red Top in the pic is the one I put in the 355 only a couple of years ago, hence why I’m surprised I’m having this issue.

Anyway, I’ll get an auto elec to check out what’s going on.

Good roll up today at Autoitalia Canberra, a new Pista, a tasty Daytona, and a georgeous blue 246, amoungst a sea of 50 odd red Ferrari’s.

 

If anyone's interested, I took a bunch of photos. Nothing fancy - just pretty much a quick snap of the cars that were there.

Ask Moretti.....He connected his battery with a torch....It now runs perpetially.....

 

Did you see the black 246 dino,was parked near the alfa entry was.

 

We walked up there and saw the black dino when we first arrived. Didnt have the camera out yet though

Does sound pretty good. Pity they ruined it by making it slower, though.

As an aside, why do Yanks insist on calling manual cars “6 speeds”?
How many speeds does a normal Scud have? 5? 7?
It’s driven me nuts in the 348/355 section for years. I just gave up in the end.

 

amazing....still not a patch on a 355ch ....at least as far as sound goes. The 355ch was definitely the pinnacle, it seems, and now with turbos, it's bound to stay that way.

 

That OHOS of Moretti’s has the absolute best sounding exhaust ever.
