Arrivederci, Niki. You won the first race I ever attended in person, for that I will never forget. R.I.P.
I know these are horrible photos, but they were taken with a rotten GAF 110-format camera, which is all that I had a the 1975 U.S. Grand Prix at Watkins Glen, the first race that I ever attended in my life. In the first photo, Niki is taking his bag out of the yellow 308 GT4 that Ferrari had provided; in the second he is drawing the name of the winner of one of his F1 steering wheels at the Goodyear Motor Sports Club enclosure. A sad day where F1 has lost one of its greats and true ambassadors of the sport RIP Nicky Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
One of the all time greats one of my favorites as well. When I first got into F1 in 1974, Niki and Ferrari were my team and started my passion for Ferrari and F1. This one hurts. F1 has lost one of its true personalities and an incredible story from the past. Forza Niki, grazie per tutto!
Shocked. One of my favorite books is his hardback, The Art and Science of Grand Prix Driving. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
