Terrible news. He was in bad shape. No pain now.
A huge loss and major legend in Maranello history, spoke with him briefly at Monterey 94 and was in awe...RIP.
RIP, Legend. Few people are made of the stuff he was. Would have been so easy to give up and withdraw after what happened to him. But he had PLENTY of life to live long after that....
RIP Niki Lauda. He was as tough and as brave a competitor as they come. Respect the rat. All the best, Andrew.
Very very sad news. He was my all time hero. First saw him 1974 at Monza. Marcel Massini Image Unavailable, Please Login

One of my oldest childhood memories: seeing you go through Loews corner in that beautiful 312T. From that day on, I knew that both you and the cars with the Prancing Horse were something truly special. Thank you, Mr Lauda. RIP.
Farewell Niki, my boyhood hero. You taught us courage. Stubbornness too, but with humor. Will miss you. #RTR !
RIP Niki...a true GOAT, a legend, one of the most important Ferrari drivers ever, one of the biggest names in motorsport history...they don't make them like you anymore....godspeed!
I was really sad to hear about the passing of Niki Lauda, one of my heroes. His life and his career were extraordinary. God speed Niki.
A sad day. The man lived a great life, especially after that horrendous accident that would've taken anyone else. RIP Niki As good a time to post this as any: Tweet— Twitter API (@user) date
