Poll: Were you invited to BB unveiling?

The comments here have been 400 to 700 people invited. Some could bring along a guest but most could not. Just as a general comment the farther you live from Italy the less likely they will be making the trip. Some would obviously travel any distance to be there.
Plus a few were going to be in Maranello any way so a bonus event for them!

Since there have been rumors about the BB for a while, I guess people having shown a real interest to their dealer some time in advance will have been invited.
From what I read here, the number of invites is similar (or close) to the attendance at the 488 pre-launch (about 800 people) - and the far more expensive BB targets a narrower public, so in theory it should have been easier to be invited for BB potential customers.

 

1) going to the preview and getting an allocation are not connected. I think there are 700-1000 people on each day. Probably will have the feel of a giant FOMO-fest.

2) I went to the Potofino preview because of the location/set up. I would have ordered the car regardless of going. But the presentation itself was full of BS about go-kart like handling, best car ever blah blah. I learned nothing useful about the car that I couldn't read about a day later. Unfortunately, and I show my age here, I preferred the early Luca days when presentations were chaotic but full of passion, not PowerPoint chiseled to death by some marketing interns like today.

 

For anyone planning on going, if you get me one of the Official Ferrari introduction paper weights, I'll trade you something cool. This is the paper weight that they handed out for the 812SF and Pista Spider.

 

My wife needs me to host a lunch on 30th and I couldn't get dealer to change date to 31st.

I think I now have credit in the (what do you need another car for ?) bank but who knows.

Wasn't invited. I showed interest but was told BB is more a 812 owners opportunity as it's more of a replacement for that car. I imagine once 812 dudes are satisfied, or don't soak up the allocations then they will look at the next wrung down and work from there.

 

Invited but unfortunately not going ( on travel abroad). Would have been there if possible.

 

Point 1, invite list was created by Ferrari and there is every intention that those invited will place and get an order. Certainly that was the info coming from Italy last week. What a way to sell out 3 years of very profitable production to meet the financial goals communicated and then to be confirmed to investors.
