Lots of 1 lap wonder gains. The driven front wheels make a big difference. The 3rd emotor adds Tq. The no need for a reverse gear means there can be 8 closely stacked forwards gears. The electrics also mean you can talk about 1000hp. But yes youre right, for real driving on road all this extra means realisticaly nothing, and on track beyond one fast lap its a negative. However for magazine tests and paper specs its a winner.
LaFerrari 6 years old now Are brakes bigger or better than a F8/ Pista If not Extra 300kg with same brakes could be fun
In the land of the free, we will have petrol motors for decades to come. The death of a petrol motor in a performance car will be because of its performance delta to an electric. Thats going to require 4-8X the energy desity of the current state of art batteries, if were building an electric car that can run on track for more than a few laps.
Thank you for your insightful post. Sincerely. I'm relatively new when arriving to the nuts and bolts of Ferraris (or any Super or Hyper car for that matter). I'll never be able to afford one but the least I can do is learn about them... and maybe build one from scratch one day lol Sent from my SM-G955U using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Sorry for my English. And who can tell how the process of charging the battery for electric motors? Is it energy from the engine and brakes, or even external sources? Thank.
maybe I'm a bit stupid, but I realized just now that the car has a mobile rear wing (a "Gurney shutoff flap") that opens the airflow under the rear wing going down into the engine bay. It increases the downforce at high speed, when opened ciao
I'm sorry, but how anyone with 2 eyes could look at those 2 designs and think they are alike is simply beyond my level of comprehension. Sorry!
Mr Manzoni talks about SF90 Stradale: https://www.automoto.it/news/ferrari-sf90-stradale-una-nuova-era-per-il-cavallino.html Mr Leiters: https://www.automoto.it/news/ferrari-sf90-stradale-una-nuova-era-per-il-cavallino.html
There is a charging port, given most ferraris sit in garages shouldnt be an issue, also i think 15 miles all electric city range, so you can go into city centers that ban Ic.. There is also regen from brakes, dont know if car can charge also of ic motor.
Looks more like some of the ill fated new lotus front ends, the ones Bahar never built. At least now, by comparison we need not fear that the new C8 vette will be considered a design mismash or too heavy

It 's just weird that the F1 transmission is berated as slow, and in response to that criticism it is being replaced by an even slower (manual) gearbox...
It 's not just about the numbers. A semi-auto lets you keep your hands on the steering wheel at all times and you can focus more on your driving. Some people like manuals, it is their right of course, but technically it is the inferior solution.
Why would you say that it is propaganda? The McLaren won 2 out of three. Retorting that the bike won one makes no sense.
I agree that technically F1 is superior in every way on the track. I disagree that it is any safer/more focused on the street in day to day driving. Lol, unless you are bombing around town like a Shell commercial! I must be getting old because there is no millisecond F1 shift that is as satisfying to me as a proper heel/toe. F1 is undeniably the future. There is no going back. Doesn't mean I have to like it though.
