Too PC? Seems more like they are disappointed with Haas. Weird timing just before British GP. https://www.espn.com/f1/story/_/id/27162422/rich-energy-terminates-haas-sponsorship-deal
I always suspected something fishy about that sponsorship. First Rich Energy Financial and industrial claims couldn't be substanciated. William Storey, the CEO, looked somehow a bit ... dodgy. Then there was the logo infringement and the litigation they lost. Now they blame F1, but it seems they got the publicity they wanted.
I also wonder if they would have walked away so eagerly had their bid for Force India succeeded and operated as a team versus sponsor. We should be grateful their bid failed. Something ain't right.
Yes, during race week ends. I’ve to say it’s not that bad, especially in comparison with Red Bull and others. Their leaving has nothing to do with Haas performance. In fact, because of the recent ruling against them, they should open their books for the Court...
https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/144709/rich-energy-investors-trying-to-salvage-haas-deal Rich Energy's shareholders are understood to be attempting to save the company's relationship with Haas after a Tweet on Wednesday said the Formula 1 team's sponsorship deal had been terminated. Sources have told Autosport that the Tweet was either written or authorised by CEO William Storey, without the knowledge of the drinks firm's investors after an apparent difference of opinion. The shareholders are keen to protect their investment in the brand, and that includes saving the relationship with Haas, as Wednedsday's Twitter statement has already damaged Rich's reputation. One source told Autosport: "The deal is not terminated and William has no authority to do so. "The investors are trying to clear up the PR mess, but it's business as usual."
But wait . . . it's not over! https://www.planetf1.com/news/haas-deny-end-of-rich-energy-sponsorship-deal/

Me thinks there's more to this story than we're being told. Gene Haas can't be stupid enough to think that a company that has a total of £500 in the bank can seriously fulfill its obligations can he? BHW
Haas should dump this silly company given how this is negative for Haas. They have a bad season already. They do not need this type of press!!
William Storey show all the signs of a con artist to me, but surely Hass must have done his homework before being involved with the guy.
His action or those of his 'company' have not looked well in image for Haas. Id say he is in breach. They certainly did not enhance Haas as a team.
