For no options heh
Wait, one stipulation. Has to be fun to drive. Need to test drive first. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
60k for the dogs dinner. Z51 will most certainly be over $100k - also the sub 3 second version isn’t the under 60k it’s the over 100k version as I understand it Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Yep. Looks like automatic only. Frankly I think the configuration on these cars has just become too complex to reasonably accommodate two different transmissions and shifting mechanisms. Kudos to Porsche for continuing to pull it off.
Murica! Beautiful, fast, nice interior, 0-60 < 3 sec. Luggage space as well. Stunning. Golf clap. Can’t wait to see Spider and Grand Sport. Like I said many pages ago...I think this will be like the ‘65 Mustang..sales gold mine.
One thing that makes this car AMAZING is that any old Tom, Dick or Harry can buy one. The problem with that is they’ll be everywhere, I mean everywhere. Does that inspire you to buy one? Nope Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Even the 60K version is going to be plenty of "real-world" performance, and the super-hyper version will still be -way- under the price of the traditional supercar makers. This may be a game changer if the build quality is decent. The aftermarket will LOVE this thing. 1000 HP with functional air conditioning.
Incorrect. 495 hp version is 0-60 is in less than 3 seconds With a base price of less than $60,000 Z51 package typically is a $6-7k price hike from a base with no sort of performance enhancements other than ground effects, visual enhancements, and a far superior suspension, brake/cooling system over stock. But yeah. Not ground breaking eh? Lol
They’ll be parked up in every median home priced driveway.....not a vehicle to make you feel special. But bringing super car feel to the mass markets is a game changer Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I do like it ... but i won't be selling my C7 ZR1 ... with manual trans ... any time soon. Yes it has 3 pedals, and i only have 2 feet (i've done the math) but it's a keeper anyway
So you think they’ll offer a Z51 for under $70k? Cheaper than the current model? Ok............. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I still find this hard to believe. Seriously under $60k? What the hell...I can't think of a USED car that has that kind of performance. Why the hell would GM price it this low and leave money on the table?
Sorry, that's DEAD wrong. Z51 is a $5K package on the current car...so you're thinking the package is going to go up $35K??? C'mon...jeez..that's just stupid talk. Clearly, GM is taking a page out of the Ferrari/Porsche book in terms of interior goodies...that's where they will make their money...just like Ferrari and Porsche.
Imagine this platform 3 years from now when 700 HP, 800 HP, maybe even 1000 HP is made available to the buying public.
I LOVE IT!!!! GM JUST CHANGED THE SPORTS CAR WORLD!! I especially like the white one with polished wheels and no spoiler! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hard not to like nothing terribly wrong with the lines or proportions. Well-balanced, all things considered, in my view. And for the price? Really might be a game-changer. (well, those particular wheels are a little goofy LOL)
TomAZ, it may not feel as unique or special, but for your average enthusiast it may not matter. It’s a Targa top, high performance vehicle, with useable storage, and just about every modern convenience available, that you can drive anywhere without worrying about mileage or breakdowns. Also a brand that won’t garner as much unwanted attention when rolling through rural areas. Don’t get me wrong, I love my Fcar and the special feeling it gives me. I’ll always be a Ferrari fan, but when I’m not in mine I always wonder about it’s practicality as it rarely gets driven (mostly bc I’m rarely home to even look at it). That’s why I think another Fchatter said he wouldn’t be surprised if used Ferrari sales drop. After seeing this, I agree. If you’re very wealthy this isn’t a concern, but for those who shop in the $130k and under range, this may well be a game changer. I don’t think the C8 even has a true competitor at this price range. It out does the M4 and Cayman. It’s practically a class of its own. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Again, remember, take note that this will be a massively produced car and dealerships are already taking plenty of orders at MSRP (and not many over sticker). To educate you a bit, you can get a Z51 package on a current C7 in either a base 1LT package (MSRP of $62k) up to the 3LT package. The package itself is a $5k upgrade. +/- approx $2k depending if you opted for an A8 instead of the M7 Considering that I used to sell these cars since they’ve been out for the last few years, I can say without a doubt that this will be no different - and to refer back to my previous statement that yes, can in fact get a Z51 base C8 stingray for less than $70k.
