Had this fabricated for a client who sold the car. The unit is new and ceramic coated. If you’re not familiar with S-line, it will give your car the screaming F1 exhaust note. I have it on my scud and a few friends on their 430s and 458s. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Here’s a clip of my buddy Brent’s car: Price is 3750, asking 3500. Please don’t hesitate to ask more questions.
I think you can still have conversations, it's just that you won't want to chat for very long because you don't want to interrupt the beautiful exhaust note.
Have S-line in and fabspeed headers/cats in my F430 and it's very loud, but if you just cruising and keep the right foot still on the throttle (no acceleration or slowing down) then it's not that bad and conversations is no problem. A piece of art that everyone with a 458 needs.
How does the volume and tone compare to a Novitec? Also, does the middle exhaust pipe on the cars exhaust plate become a “blank”?
Earlier years had a more aggressive tune. I believe 13 and newer was a more conservative tune to aid Emissions and mileage.
Thank you for clearing that up for me. I’m not too knowledgeable on 458s. My main expertise is scuds and F430s
I appreciate nice pops and crackles.. but that was a touch excessive.. that could not have been only the s-line.. I believe guy a beginning of vid said straight piped.. so that blue 458 certainly has aftermarket headers, cat deletes and then the s-line..
That’s correct. Brent goes hard. Headers and cat deletes. Ok my scud I had 100 cell cats and stock headers and it was too loud.
I've heard S-line on both cars and it's not as loud as some of you are making it out to be. It allows the car to sing much more yes, but where it becomes obnoxious is when you remove a muffler and either go catless, or 200 cell. Then yes, you could potentially wake the dead...But it will sound even more amazing
S-line essentially is a muffler deleted x-pipe, which is why it's noticeably louder than other brands. If you look at the design, almost all other manufacturers, even Novitec and IPE, have mufflers on their pipes. S-Line doesn't look to have any.
^^ S-line doesn't pretend to have any mufflers either. Stock 430 exhaust doesn't have any either when the valves are open. S-line just adds the X pipe to change the sound. Ironically the sound we loved from the last days of non turbo F1 did not include an X pipe.
Whatever you want to call it... It sounds amazing....and for the price, you can't beat it. Some of these brands charge stupid money for bent stainless piping because it's for a consumer market that obviously can afford it.
