Or is the oil level above the shafts bottom height (center minus radius)?

Old thread but reviving. Has anyone successfully used the Viton triple seals?

I bought the set from superformance, easy to put in place, but my question is on which direction they have to be installed to be effective.

They question is do they go

    or

O being the opening they have to slide into. The top seems like it wouldn't cause excessive wear. The bottom seems like it'd seal better.

I have used them a lot and it does not seem to matter which direction they go in.

I’ve been running the Bell Classics’ PTFE seals for about a year. Good so far, but I plan on replacing these every 2-3 years, regardless, as preventative maintenance to save a soaked/ruined clutch.

Side question- do you have to align the clutch each time you go in there for the triple seals or is it just bolt off/bolt on? I need to get in there to see what is weeping.

If you don't touch the clutch/flywheel assembly, just bolt it back on.
