You can put 1200 hp in a corvette and not a single person shopping for a Ferrari would give a rats ass.

there is no end in sight for one up on the hp/torque game that everyone is playing

but exclusivity and driver experience is another matter

I would not trade my 458 Spider for a corvette, period. I've had one, no thanks

As a track car, sure I’d pick one up vs shopping a Ferrari.

I could imagine track rats being excited about the Z06. But any experienced track rat getting close to the price of a Ferrari will buy a GT3 RS. I'd guess this car will effect Porsche more than Ferrari, but not that much. Most of the guys I know that love tracking Corvette's aren't in the market for a Ferrari or GT3 RS. (I've seen more than one Corvette of different generations go up in flames. No thanks. But full disclosure, I sold my RACE stock and bought GM stock. Mary Barra is the real deal)

It all depends on what the buyer wants in a driving experience and his intended use of the car.

How many people can handle 800hp on a track let alone 400? Also what about braking and handling?

Not that the Corvette dictates Ferrari’s hand, yet, but it’s certainly crazy to think for $150k the performance capabilities available in a 2 years time. Ferrari and others do pay attention to the market, however. It’s not a coincidence the F8 and Pista have 720 PS.

Nissan GTRs have had massive performance for years. Never affected a single sale of a Ferrari.
