Hooray
Huh!! I didn't know F1 was back on this weekend! GREAT news for Ferrari! Looking foward to watching the race tonight.
Terrible accident in F2 https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/article.f2-racer-hubert-passes-away-following-crash-at-spa-francorchamps.3om72F1NnXoj3mEJZpODG1.html
Shyte this isn't good. https://www.news.com.au/sport/motorsport/formula-2-driver-anthoine-hubert-22-dies-after-horror-crash/news-story/a177c38b391a1aee86e3f99f62d814e3
sickening. I've watched the footage many times over and I'm reasonably sure that Correa had time to lift and avoid Hubert's car as it bounced back onto the track. I'm equally sure that if he'd lifted, he would have lost 2 or 3 places, which in F2 can be the difference between having a driving career or being dropped. In the name of sport, we make very young men risk everything to stay in the game. Correa will now have to live with the outcome for the rest of his life, which is also tragic.
Where did you see this footage, Ian? On the links provided it's really hard to see what has actually happened. Bloody awful, regardless.
There's footage on YouTube from up track and behind. Count the seconds between Antoine hitting the wall and Correa collecting him. I've been closer when it's happened in front of me and had time to lift and avoid. I of course have nothing like the pressure these kids have.

I have no idea if he had time to lift or not, but I watched the footage over and over again and it's terrible. RIP young man.
RIP Hubert. Correa was 2 cars behind Hubart he should of seen him out of control. I guess without on boards being released we won't know for sure. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Charles Leclerc just held off Lewis Hamilton to win the Belgian Grand Prix from pole position on Sunday, securing the first victory of his Formula One career and ending Ferrari’s long wait for a win. Hamilton was within one second of Leclerc on the final lap, but the 21-year-old from Monaco held his nerve. Leclerc dedicated it to the French driver Anthoine Hubert who died Saturday, following a heavy crash during an F2 race held on the same track. Drivers paid their respects on Sunday. Moments after winning, Leclerc pointed to the sky and then to Hubert’s name written on the side of his car. “This one is for Anthoine,” said an emotional Leclerc on the radio. “It feels good but it is difficult to enjoy a weekend like this. On one hand I have realised a dream, but on the other hand it has been a difficult weekend. “I have lost a friend, so I would like to dedicate my win to him. We have grown up together. It is a shame what happened yesterday, so I cannot enjoy my first victory.” Hamilton extended his championship lead because his Mercedes teammate Valtteri Bottas was third, finishing ahead of Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel. Ferrari had not won since former driver Kimi Raikkonen’s victory at the US GP last October.
Yep! Excellent result!! Wish it was a 1-2 but. Hopefully at least one of them can get a race win at home next weekend.
Yeah, he had time to avoid. Could have wiped off 100kph in half a second. Maybe he was checking his mirrors at that split second.
