I just came back from a great trip to a wedding this weekend! Finally, the new Norwegian registration is on and it is good to be back in business behind the wheel og my great pride and joy :) I really enjoy taking the car and checking into a hotel and dress up for a party and then drive back the next day. Today, we were four cars together with equally Gran turismo minded owners driving 150 kms. back to Oslo with one lunch and one dessert stop. I attach a few pics. :)

Somehow or other this thread got unwatched and I didn't post the below here but started a new thread that I called: Lord how I love to drive! Belongs here. Cut and pasted:

Yesterday I took the day off, accompanied by a car guy friend, to drive my 412 from Saratoga Springs to Ferrari of New England for annual service, fluids, check-up etc, and to pick up my 575M that has just had FNE annual service. 202 miles mostly on the Mass Turnpike and a little under 3 1/2 hours each way, longer return due to several miles of bumper-to=bumper down to single lane near the Springfield interchange. It wasn't like driving our backroad Adirondack Mt runs and the two cars couldn't be more different to drive. But clear road driving home in the Maranello was simply exhilarating. God, how I LOVE to drive! And how lucky we are, we who are blessed with the guardianship of these cars!

I know how you feel, Seth. And again, those are two nice Ferraris you have there!

I'm partial to blue also. I bought David North's Blu Pozzi 550 in 2007...

Since you guys are posting your blue Ferraris, I’ll throw mine into the mix as well (although obviously not blue, the 550 in there just to keep the 456/550/575 thread on topic). :D

Barry, when I wrote about this weekend's event my beloved Judith was to have hip replacement surgery but we had no schedule. In the interim Saratoga Hospital scheduled the surgery for this morning and at 7:30 we were checking her in. After recovery, spent several hours with her this afternoon, the surgery went well and routinely if that can be said of any invasive surgery. I expect that she will be home tomorrow afternoon to begin recovery and rehab. She did say if I wanted to drive down with another friend I should. But I'm going to see how her recovery goes. So right now, regrettably this weekend is a maybe.

Whether I'm there or not, have fun and stay safe.

Carbon fiber trim was very rare on the 550, likely in single digits for percentage.

John, what is your Maranello doing parked next to a Bristol Britannia turbo-prop? And where is the parking? I flew BOAC out of Nairobi in one of these in the summer of 1970.
