An identical direct replacement for the hose connected to the 550 front undertray is SCEET-10 DUCTING 2 1/2" which can be obtained inexpensively from https://www.aircraftspruce.com/

 

Hi Cribbj. Is the SKF number here for a 550 or 575 idler pulley bearing? I need a new bearing for the AC / alternator belt pulley. And I need it quick, so I thought it would be a good idea to buy in from a roller bearing specialist. Thanks!!

I am on the case and searched SKF dealers and a dealer was just a couple of kilometers from me. So I took the car without the AC and generator belt on to the shop and get the right bearing for 27 euro! + 10 euro express freight as it was not in stock. Will come tomorrow morning.i am super super thankful for this information about the bearing as I need the car every day now. They also gave me a number to a guy previously working for the Monaco Ferrari workshop. So he will change the bearing in the pulley. Should be rolling tomorrow before lunch! Invaluable help from Cribbj.

John- My 575M is a daily driver, too. Even if she does not get driven every day she goes to the grocery store, post office, Air Force base, doctors' offices, etc.

 

I see no reason for not using a car that is meant to be driven.

 

Hi, I was searching the Dayco website to source timing belts for a 456M. Searching by make is useless as Ferrari's don't exist, but the OEM part you gave 94983 doesn't exist either ? Is there an updated part number ? Thanks !

 

Hi, Mark, I'm in Argentina for the moment and here is a Dayco plant. Even here you cannot get any of the belts for Ferrari. Asking the Plant itself, they do not want to give any information how they distribute there belts for F. It is easyer and likely cheaper to bye them at the normal Ferrari sources.

Those P/N's were taken directly off the Dayco belts I had in my hands at the time, which I had ordered from Eurospares. I thought I had taken pics of them, but I cannot locate the pics ATM. I did find a letter from a Robert Christy, Director of Marketing for Dayco, saying that these belts would not be found in any Dayco software for the US market as all their US belts were numbered 95xxxxx, and the 94xxxxx numbers were exclusively for the European market. So maybe they number them differently for the Asian market, and perhaps this is why you cannot find them?

 

Yep, I've contacted Dayco in Aust. & they seem to have no info on them either ! I guess it's to protect the Ferrari tax of OEM parts. I've located them at my usuual reliable Ferrari parts supplier at a very reasonable cost, so no problem! Thanks for your help

 

Hi Guido, Yes I think different part numbers for different areas, even if the vehicle parts are the same. You're right about just buying from my usual Ferrari part supplier. I just thought it may be easier to get the belt from the local supplier (in this case manufacturer ) in the country where the car is currently situated rather than freighting them in. Had ordered these for my 575 from Ferrparts and then exchanged them for the factory horsey belts which were installed. I don’t know if the numbers help but thought to offer them up just in case.

Timing belt 94985 doesn’t exist. I tried 95985 as suggested for US market but no luck. Anyone knows the latest timing belt part number for the US market?

The pictured belt was ordered from Russ at Ferrparts. A possible source for the number or to order the belts. Considerably less cost than the OE belts however, the OE belts are the ones recommended by professionals.

I concur, 94985 exists. I installed them on my 2003 575 along with the other parts shown and have had absolutely no issues with them. Mine's not a daily driver but I do drive it regularly. I even do short drives in winter when the roads are clear and salt-free just to keep everything in good shape. Ferrari doesn't make everything that goes into their cars. Like any OEM, they must depend upon suppliers. I see no problem using products from Tier One OEM suppliers so long as they meet the applicable specifications. Companies like Dayco and Gates are respected, reputable companies that have been making quality products for many years. The NAPA belt, BTW, is made by Gates.

anyone know the cross-reference for the coolant hose kit, inner rods and engine cover strut for a 1995 456 GTA? or where I can find them a decent price?

 

I recently bought them from super performance.co.uk. Even shipped to US it’s still a good deal.

Has anyone figured out an interchange for the O2 sensors? Specifically the non-cat 550 O2 sensor, part # 168928.
