So here's a search which has been ongoing for a while. Looking to install a yellow RPM dial on the 360 Spider as close as possible to the 360 Challenge Stradale original. Past few weeks has brought up the following pics: A) 360 Challenge Stradale OEM dial (can't be purchased without buying the entire binnacle) B) Yellow dial in a 360 - not sure where this came from? Anyone? C) Ebay listed yellow dial. Not a fan as doesn't have the black horse. Can stick on a tacky silver horse supplied. Anyone else have any links or info? Cheers. I think most have the horse, they just don't advertise or take a picture with it. For obvious legal reasons. Mine came with the horse. Remember that you will have the "PacMan" look at night. It's the display behind the face that causes it. From my understanding only the CS dash has the correct Lumini. That pic above, I don't know about, but it could work. Here's mine, I like it a lot and I also painted the needles. Image Unavailable, Please Login BTW I have over a hundred pics of my dash, every time it displays the temp 66 I grab a shot. I can't believe how often it happens to me!
I have a yellow dial. The only comment I have is, at night it looks more greenish than yellow. I am slightly color blind however so ymmv.
Got mine on eBay...has the horsey and the correct backlighting and CS gauge colors I painted the needles but they are still backlit by Zombie green. I did it a few years ago so but I think the seller was out of Cali. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Pretty sure the eBay seller is Francorchamps of America - www.ferrarioc.com I used their backlight and purchased the fascia from Mike at Prosport which worked out a little cheaper. Both are great quality parts and gives the correct back lighting. Mike used to have a yellow backed, yellow fascia for the factory backlight but I'm not sure he has them any more.
Thanks very much to all who replied. So does anyone have an actual link to where I can buy the yellow dial that both "Ghostdiver" and "CCRider66" purchased? Having no luck at all.
I bought mine through ProSport, looks great. I had the Pacman effect, but then I also had Eric from France fix that, but mine doens't full light up, there's a black "circle" in the middle, but I am happy with that.
Just an update on this, Mike confirmed Pro-Sport has the yellow dial. Also advised that the correct 360 Challenge Stradale light board for the the yellow dial is the exact same one used for the Ferrari F430 (in case anyone else was wondering) Next step is to try Francorchamps of America - www.ferrarioc.com for the light board. Nothing on Ebay unfortunately. Cheers all.
This is the dial on my 360 spider, does it look like an aftermarket one? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes, it is aftermarket. Yellow tach faces were never an option on any 360, but standard on the CS. You have the "CS style" face with the OEM backlighting, which is why it only lights up the edges. The CS style backlighting is a blueish white coloring and the entire tach face is backlighted.
Regardless, I LOVE the look of it, both lit and unlit!! (I actually think I prefer that lighting scheme to the whole panel lit. Very cool looking!) Kevin
Just a comment, if you put a white light panel (CS or 430 or custom) below the Prosport gauges, you won't get the CS look with white illumination of the other gauges. Instead, you will get a yellow illumination of these gauges. The reason is because on the back face of Prosport other gauges there is a yellow varnish. This is to reproduce the greenish 360 illumination when using the OEM light panel or an aftermarket bluish panel. With no white easily possible (I have not tried to remove the varnish) I do prefer to stay with green illumination rather than yellow. I am working at installing a custom white light panel, on top of the OEM panel, just under the tacho gauge to have it fully illuminated in yellow.
Hi Eric, Prosport have 2 versions, the yellow backed ones for the standard backlight and clear backed for the CS style backlight. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi Eric, you might be right, however that picture was only taken a few months ago when I was modifying a friends dash.
Hi. I bought one, 2 weeks ago, and it has yellow varnish, not the yellow layer as on your picture. I will check with Prosport if they offer some without the varnish. Where have you found the CS-like white electroluminescent panel ?
The EL panel I bought from Rod at Francorchamps of America. They have an Ebay store with the fascia and the EL panel, or just the panel on it's own. https://www.ebay.com/str/francorchampsofamerica When I have ordered the fascias from Prosport, I did specifically tell Mike that it was for the CS style EL panel
Thanks. I visited their website but the full illumination panels they propose look blueish (as OEM 360), not white. Image Unavailable, Please Login I'll ask them if they have some white panels.
I'm assuming the panel in the pic is powered. I thought mine had a slight bluish tint as well and it shines through the gauges almost cool white when assembled. These are the same as mine as the speedo is only in mph.
