Fchaters, where is the best place to get a touch up kit for the Rosso Corsa Fer 300? Thanks Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
There is no "kit" available. You can take your car to an automotive paint supply place and they have a sampling machine that they can lay on the car and measure the pigments needed to make a small touch-up bottle. It would be great to get the "recipe" for Rosso Corsa for one of the major brands of automotive paint such as PPG. Then again, there is always this option: 308/328 GTB/GTS / DINO GT4 PARTS CROSS REF. THREAD - Red Lacquer
Well, I think that having a sampling machine measuring your paint is a great solution indeed, when available. For a start, we have at least five successive itterations of the "standard red" for our cars, each one slightly different in tone/hue: "Rosso Chiaro" for the carbed cars (from Glidden Salchi) then "Rosso", "Rosso Corsa", "Rosso Corsa 300/6" and "Rosso Corsa 300/9" (from Glasurit). Then, paint on 35 year old cars can change a lot in color/tone/hue according to exposition to the sun or to light, etc... So having touch-up paint that has been matched to your car's exact color is certainly the best option. Modern paints are not produced on the same principle than the single-stage paint of our cars...
