Good question to which I have no idea what the answer is but I expect them to find extra power from somewhere.
Could it be that the current power is nominally underreported? Look at the 720S, which is well known to dyno far more than the factory rating, and imagine how easy it will for McLaren to “find” extra power for the LT version. Perhaps, the same tactic might be in play albeit at a smaller level.
I agree. I would have thought VS is a Geneva car. I’m guessing 2020 is for 812 VS, Little Brother - AKA F8 replacement, SF90 Spider, VS Aperta and another Icona. All guesswork. That would be another big year for the prancing horse.
812 VS for 2020 seems likely, F8 replacement I don't think so - customer deliveries have not even started... at best the VS could be presented at the end of 2020...
A friend was at Maranello last week and saw what looked to be a 812 with camo on, but it had a different front grill testing around the track, he said it was much louder with what seemed to be much quicker up and down shifts, and was much more aggressive, not like any 812 he had seen.
Interesting to hear the “louder” comment. I would expect, if anything, the VS will be much quieter due to particle filter. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Hi guys, I personally think the 812 VS will be presented in Q4 of 2020. However, given the recent release of 812 GTS could realistically also be Q1 2021. My question to the group here is, does anyone have isnights into the requirements for this vehicle? Will they be the same as for F12 TDF, if so, what exactly were they? Do you guys believe the car will be limited in numbers as well? Best regards from Los Angeles Capo
My educated estimate would say that u would need about a 5 car history with dealer which includes either a Lusso or a Portofino to quality. 812 ownership being one of those 5 cars would obviously help as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
