Cowboys have hit rock bottom losing to the Jets. Dak is a mediocre QB. Losing 3 in a row kiss the SB goodbye. We will be lucky to make the playoffs. Another disappointing season in a procession of many.
When Dak and the Boys play against a good defense they lose. That O line isn’t what it used to be ....which was the best in the NFL. Perhaps they are paying Zeke too much. In a salary capped league if you pay too much some place, something has to give someplace else. Formula to win in the NFL: Get an excellent quarterback. Get an O line to protect said quarterback Get a defense that puts pressure on the opposing quarterback Enjoy the wins. Nowhere does it say to get a highly paid running back. Good running backs are a dime a dozen. They can be drafted each year out of college by the dozens for little money. They take the most pounding of any position and have a short playing span. Their bodies can’t take more than a few years with very few exceptions.
I never expected Super Bowl, but I was expecting more from them for sure. I'm surprised no ones mentioned it. Ramsey is now a Ram. The Texans and Colts are still the only two teams in the AFC South.
Agree. The shock is that Mariota has fallen to the point where Titans think Tannehill may be a better answer. Or, maybe a short benching for Mariota to get his head right? T
And GB looks EXTREMELY mediocre. Same thing.... Have you noticed that MOST skill position players - after they get the big contract - fail to produce what is 'expected'? The list is LONG: Zeke, LaVeon, Brown, Cousins, Foles, Cooks, Gurley, maybe folks need to take a lesson from New England? We can possibly add Melvin Gordon to this list, we will see shortly... Someone compared Mariota's stats to Winston's, and they were the same? I have not looked, but both appear to be headed to early retirement.
Agreed. Steelers and Chargers right not to sign Bell and Gordon to huge contracts. Chiefs, Pats and Rams show that you can contend for SB without highly paid RB's. Sh-t Gurley missed most of the playoffs. I wasn't expecting SB either but all the clueless fanboys were clamoring for SB or bust when the Boys were 3-0 and on the cover of Sports Illustrated. Get rid of Pro Bowl Peters and give up two 1st rounders for Ramsey. Has Peters dropped off that much since coming over from the Chiefs?
Bigger news than Luck's retirement. Brock Osweiller retires!! https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/2019/10/16/brock-osweiler-retires-denver-broncos-houston-texans-nfl/4001899002/ Such a peculiar guy. In another version of that quote I heard was he also threw in the "winning a Super Bowl".
I don't know if I would say that yet, if he doesn't 'produce', nobody will give him a big fat contract. 1- Is it me, or do most 'holdouts' seldom produce after getting the money? Whereas those that DON'T holdout continue to produce even after the new contract? 2- Anyone that can read the schedule knew Dallas was not THAT good, and it's funny they did well in the ABSENCE of Zeke. 3- He better be a lock-down, but I am guessing he isn't, he will be about as good as the clown CB that went from Carolina to Washington for big money. See - I cannot even remember his name, he's done SO well... 4- In a word, yes.
Okay Keith, how well do you know your Eagles? On the local sports show they have been talking about New York fans knowing so much about each players personal lives. They have Stanford Routt in studio and asked him about playing in New York. He said one player on the Eagles had married a former pornstar and the NY Giants fans knew this and he plainly said, the fans let him know they knew his wife. So who is the player? lol
Only for today. lol Here's some good Brock audio they played on the radio today. https://sportsradio610.radio.com/media/audio-channel/remembering-brock-osweiler-and-thanking-him-seriously I can't find a clip, but he responded to a reporters question by saying "I guess I'm just not a very good coach".
Bizarre. Brady has done 100's of sneaks in his career with no problem, a strong young guy like Mahomes gets hurt in his second season.
