Thanks. Sam is one of the best car Youtubers, really nice guy. Big fan of his ‘drive the world’ series. Some more info about this car: ZFFDU57A240136834 http://www.challengestradale.com/136834.html Petrolicious article: https://petrolicious.com/articles/rarity-squared-the-manual-gearbox-ferrari-360-challenge-stradale Manual conversion by Black Horse Motor Werks ( http://blackhorsemotorwerks.com/ )
Sam seems like a nice enough guy but the obnoxious voices he uses all the time is not something I can handle for very long. I’ve never actually made it through an entire video segment, this one was no exception. Definitely a cool car though.
That's upper class English with a Harrow education and mixed in with excitement. I like him, despite the seemingly endless enthusiasm.
I don’t know what any of that means... I just know he has no business talking out loud. Chris Harris, I would take his advice on anything. Love him. No wierd voices and using the word “whilst” in every sentence.
I love how he forgot the immobilizer! That only happens to me... say.... 75% of the time I drive my car! Also, wasn't there a CS around here somebody converted to gated?? Or am I mis-remembering? Kevin
+1. If I were doing a drive up the coast with my personal SF90, LaFerrari and my stick 360 for comparison of "fun", Chris Harris is the only Tuber' I'd invite along and throw the keys without reservation. He's the only one that actually has anything meaningful to say about the cars when he drives them.
Chris Harris is the "Pro". I love his vids and opinion. This guy is the overly enthusiastic normal person like myself.
I love the color combo, I love Stradales, and I love manuals. But for some very odd reason I just don't get a manual being in a Stradale...doesn't seem like a Stradale anymore. Maybe it was just the slow driving that made it off...the sound of the car with the super slow shifts seemed wrong.
I know.. anything earlier than a 458 just sounds so slow. The F1 shifts compared to the DCT are glacial. Make a cup of coffee between shifts slow.
I agree with this 100%. One of the things that make the Challenge Stradale so cool is the rapid fire shifts, just like Schumacher in an F1 (He was the man when the car was first introduced.) Don't get me wrong - I love manuals and it wasn't until after I was married that I ever had anything other than a hand-shaker in my garage. But things change and evolve. Emissions regulations have a lot to do with the demise of a clutch and manual. Anything that allows the revs to drop below, say 600 RPM is very, very dirty in the emissions testing cycle.
