I've noticed there are very few classified ads for this particular model and year. Wondering if anyone has any insight.

That's funny, I have the same question about my 2012 Aston Martin DB9...I never see any others advertised on any national site?

Ha - nope. didn't realize this forum was for toys, Rosey. Can anyone tell me how to move it? msper- thx for your reply and nice 430! Yes, I have one. It's also a well-optioned F1 with low miles (~600/yr), one previous owner.

They were not limited production, which hints at something else. They were, however, the last of their production run and not many were built as they geared up for the 458 and produced Scuds and 16Ms on the same line.

Thanks, tazandjan. That seems to be a popular thought and makes sense. I wonder if anyone know how many were produced. I read 51 on another thread but, that seems very low to me.

I think they only produced 2009 models through March. Ferrari cut a deal with the National Traffic Safety board. They wanted safety sensors in passenger seat that automatically shut off air bags for children under a certain weight. Ferrari said it would cost to much to redesign seat. They said they would make it in the 458. The NTSB allowed Ferrari to use a key turn off switch for the airbag instead of a sensor in the seat. This was allowed thru March 2009. That is why not many 2009 models. I think they ramped up production in 2008 to compensate. Also the recession hit big time in 2008. Dealers were taking 10% off MSRP to move cars
