360/430 last models with gas cap on left side?

    Went to an organized drive this past weekend and there were a lot of Ferrari models represented. I noticed my car and the two 430's were the only ones with gas caps on the drivers side. Anyone know the reason for the change? There was a sweet Huracan Evo there too and it had the fill up on the right side too as did all the newer Ferrari models.

    I really like having the fill up on my side when pull in so I can gauge how close to the island wish to be. I wonder what the story is?

    there are more Ferraris with the filler cap on the left hand side.

    My previous Mondial, F355 and current 360 all have it on the left.
    My Mercedes also has it on the left. BMW on the right.

    I find this quite odd. Back in the late 60's and early 70's in the UK many petrol stations were literally just off the road. As such you pull in against the pump to your left and fill because we drive on the left to me that makes sense. Most British built cars had the filler on the left.
    So why an Italian and a German do too is odd. Must be a design reason for it.

    Maranellos are on the right side and the 550 predates the 360.
