I'm guessing he meant part numbers for the the oem Apple CarPlay Clarion unit, parts, cables, and supplies needed to retrofit like Actualizer did.
Hey guys I was thinking about buying the Kenwood DDX9703S head unit for my supercar. Does anyone own this model and if yes is it worth the price? Does it work good? It's the best (rated) Kenwood on amazon with mostly positive reviews. There's a legal notice which always pops up after you start it according to this page, but other then that I really like how it looks and it has all the features I need. Should I go for it or are there better options out there. Thanks
We just finished the new Kenwood install and he got it to work with the back-up camera AND the steering controls. Plus the trunk subwoofer and an upgraded amp. Difference in sound quality is night and day. Worth every penny of the $3K.
I was thinking of changing the head unit in my 2012 FF. I have a Samsung 10S+ phone. I have blue tooth now and phone connected through USB port. I just don't care for the software and voice control system. Seems very outdated compared to my 2017 Mercedes. Will this Kenwood head be a big improvement and work with my phone Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
Well done ! I have the Alpine unit installed by Ferrari brought from Maranello/]. does your Kenny Unit give the official Ferrari prancing horse logo with a Ferrari logos and the all the warning babble , when turned in ?
I found a FF for sale with a 12" floating android screen and I think it brings the interior up to date. I know that Pioneer and Alpine do 10" and 9" floating screens as well. When checking reviews of those units, I've seen a lot of mentions for the Maestro RR interface unit. Are FChatters using these as well in order to preserve the steering controls etc? Is the FF unit identical to the Chrysler MyGiG RHR or are there Ferrari specific tweaks? i dont love the way those sit - i prefer a smaller screen like pioneer that sits flush and looks integrated. that looks added on to me. fwiw.
I'm about to upgrade to factory head unit in my FF and came to same conclusion, partly because a lot of reviewers of the floating-screen-type head complain about the screen not looking integrated.
Makes sense! That being said the original Unit being from a Chrysler it certainly doesn’t look “integrated “ in a f car Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
hello, i work on some sticky removals from FF and we dismantled the doors. this gives an opportunity to replace the door speaker woofers/tweeters. did anybody try pioneer ts-z65ch component speaker system? thank you ain advance ! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I recently updated my headunit, amps, speakers, etc and unfortunately lost my passenger display. Does anyone have experience with this? Is there a workaround?
Does anybody have any idea what model deck this is? I actually think it looks pretty modern and "updated". If I can't get a factory deck, I might as well do something more interesting.
No idea exactly which one, but since you like the external screen you can probably just find one that has all the options you like with the most onboard RAM available that will fit in a double-din slot. Just make sure to get the correct frame that fits since the OEM unit is wider than a ddin. I used this one along with my Pioneer head unit.
I don’t doubt the functionality, but the oversized stuck-on look would drive me batty. Just bought a 2014 FF and installing a Kenwood Excelon head unit, Focal Kevlar speakers, etc.
