Turns out that it was the throttle position sensor

Had a new one put in several years ago and no problems until the trackday

 

Yep, I watched this and it all happened very fast of course, so I don't blame Max.

But.............Vettel managed to slow down which ruined his lap and I think Lewis said the same thing also.

Looking forward to a Ferrari 1-2 finish this morning.

What happened in the Ferrari pit stop?

 

Rhr wheel trouble on CL pit stop.

I don't think there was an issue, the rattle gun tightened the wheel and the light turned green on the gun................but the wheel man went in to tighten it again and some sparks flew off the wheel nut because the rattle gun wasn't on there properly the 2nd time.

But I am pretty sure it was right the first time. A 2.5 sec pit stop turned into a 6.2 sec pit stop.

What a shame for Ferrari. They got stooged by Mercedes again.

Bit@hes and moans the whole way through the race complaining of wrong strategy calls and so on, then has the nerve to thank the team for their great efforts on the radio after the race !!

This guy... just so damn lucky he has an amazing support team around him.
