Hey y'all Just a quick one. I couldn't find anything conclusive about this beeping in various searches.. So obviously a standard 360 makes a loud prolonged beep when you pull the key out But occasionally, mine will make a softer sounding beep after that, a bit less prolonged Anyone know why this soft beep only occasionally happens and what it actually is? Thanks
Try lubricating your ignition lock with a graphite lube for locks. Sometimes the mechanical sensor in the lock gets stuck and thinks the key is still inserted. Do not use ordinary lube or WD-40, or the lock pins will gum up over time or suffer accelerated wear by attracting dirt. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
Are you speaking of a mechanical sound from the ignition lock? Or an electronic warning? If the latter it is covered in the top secret document in the glove box known as "The Owners Manual".
Umm yes the latter, not the former But I don't believe the manual specifically says anything about a "warning sound" at ignition off with no accompanying light? But feel free to enlighten me further...
OK thanks. I checked manual. Section 3.18 I think it is? No mention of a secondary warning sound? The only possible things I can think of at present are: - maybe my seat belt is unlocked before I ignition off - I tend to leave / park the car in neutral and from I can gather the manual is suggesting to leave it in gear - I currently have the inertia switches disengaged on my car (they were potentially causing problems) I'll check fluid levels tomorrow and am having it plugged in so will see if I have any obvious issues that I am being warned about. Will report back..
