Getting ready for tyres. Have settled on MPS4S. All the online calculators say 235 is max for the 7.5" front rim and 285 is max for the 10" rear rim. So I was hoping to go up from the stock 225 to 235 on the front. Anyone done this and has it messed with traction control/ABS etc?

The important thing to keep your ASR from going crazy is to keep close to the original diameters and ratio of diameters front to rear.
    MP4s come in 225/45-18, 25.9” and 235/40-18, 25.4”, and 235/45-18, 26.3”. OEM size is 215/45-18, 25.6”. 235/40 would seem the right choice but it’s 20mm wider.
The rears also aren’t quite the right size in MP4s, so you need to decide between 275/35-18 and 285/35-18. Both are smaller in diameter from stock, but the 285s are closest. If you go with those and 225s, you’re evenly 10mm wider front and back.
But the diameter ratio is going to be off. Most have gone with 235/40 and 285/35. The ratio may be why. But the wider rubber up front may increase oversteer. It’s close either way, and the MP4s are better than the tires available in the OEM sizes.

Thanks but we are talking 19's on the 430. OEM up front is 225/35 so only going 10mm wider.
Diameter increases from 25.2" to 25.5" which is a 1.2% increase.

    All good.
Ratio of OEM diameter front to back is 1:1.07
Ratio of diameter of front to back with a 235 front is 1:1.05 which is a change of 2%.
    (if my maths is close!)
I think I read +or-5% is max difference from stock to keep things happy.

Are you replacing them from age or tread wear. I just ordered Pirelli tires for my 430 because they are 8 years old. The tread is fine.
I am not sure if I am being anal, but google says 6 to 10 years old and they should be changed.

If you really drive your car, replace them around 6 years. If its a garage queen and never sees over 60-70 mph in short burst on the way to cars and coffee, what the heck take your chances.

    235 shouldn't be a problem.

I have used 235s on the front for years without any issues at all. They will reduce understeer a little which is desirable IMO. I have tracked my car from time to time and prefer the 235s. I'm currently using PS4s.

I have also changed to 235 without any problems, but I came across this thread on *********** from stefvan about e-diff problems from going to a 235 tire which is 7mm difference. Important E-DIFF information https://www.***********.com/forums/showthread.php?t=59607

Anyone have a comment about this, because I'm not to sure I buy into this but then I'm not a Ferrari tech. Also I believe Stefvan to be someone reputable.

Rears are low, fronts are fine but they're dated 2011. 8 years old so time for a change.

Scud comes with 235 front (same 285 rear).... that should be saying something..

also get real performance tire. RE71R is a ton better than PS4S

I run PS4S tires in 235 up front on both stock split 5 spoke and factory Scud wheels with no problems.
