From Tubi's website (copy/paste): Muffler There are different exhaust solutions: a 2008 “EVOLUTION” exhaust, with a better sound integration of the stock by-pass valve the first line of Tubi Style mufflers, with different sound levels: a standard Tubi sound, that is louder than OE exhaust a louder sound a silenced sound, that permit to use the car inside tracks with dB limitations. a straight pipes muffler, the loudest solution a ring that permits to delete the OE by-pass valve The related part numbers are: TSFE355C94.000.A Ferrari F355 “2008 Evolution” exhaust 01059791000 Ferrari F355 Exhaust 01059791000R Ferrari F355 Loud Exhaust 01059791000S Ferrari F355 Silenced Exhaust 01059761000 Ferrari F355 straight pipes exhaust 01059411090 Ferrari F355 ring –delete by-pass valve Based on this, there are 2 styles. The original style with a single pipe on each side (which apparently is available in different sound levels), and the "Evolution" which is the 3rd pic in the OP with 2 pipes on each side. As others have pointed out, this looks closer to the Capristo design, and may well be Tubi's response to that offering. Capristo has a big article about the benefits of this design and how it affects the catalyst, headers, etc.
ok thanks. much appreciated. this helps a lot. and likely the different variants within 1st gen, is why people have commented different sound levels based on their experience. i’ll see if i can identify the part # on the unit i’m looking at.
as much as the part# list above was very helpful I just got pics of the 1st gen exhaust with cross bar from my friend and there is no Part# on it. only the Tubi style badge, saying " only competition" so this can be any of the 1st gen part#'s above..
The only difference I've been able to identify is the 5.2 has the downstream 02 bung on the top of the input. If you have the 2.7 I believe you can just cap it, which is what I plan on doing with 2.7 car
