Deflected? LOL, what a joke. In case you don't know yet, every owner (or his agent or dealer) is usually involved in the certification of a Ferrari. Oh, btw, why don't you just contact Mr Lampe directly? And did you call your friends at the factory? What did they have to say? You have provided zero so far. Absolutely nothing. Nada. Not a single document nor anything else, no evidence for any of your statements. Amazing in just 19 days. What makes you think that I should answer ANY of YOUR questions? Pretty big ego....... I sincerely hope you enjoy the audience and attention to the fullest. When will you finally start providing anything substantial? Anything? Never? Marcel Massini
Your responses are hilarious! You are just skirting around the 2 basic questions I have asked. Everyone else asks you questions regarding these cars and their histories... however, you wont answer mine.
It is a 512 S Berlinetta and therefore is in 1970. File names mean nothing and are often incorrect. Marcel Massini
One thing that bothers me about that 512 is the rear hood. No 512 S spider has ever raced with a Plexiglas-equipped hood and these air intakes. Always berlinettas with this configuration, no spiders. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Well, it is a very interesting topic. Am definitely not looking for a homework assignment. I am merely providing an outsider’s opinion, not unlike everyone else on this thread.
To the best of my knowledge NO 512 S or 512 M was red book certified by Ferrari in the year 2009. The following are 512 S/512 M red book certified by the Ferrari factory in Maranello: 1004 on 22 November 2011 with Certificate #1473 F. 1006 on 23 April 2007 with Certificate #500 F. 1022 on 28 June 2006 with Certificate #249 F. 1024 on 2 April 2008 with Certificate n#858 F. 1028 on 26 June 2013 with Certificate #1144 F. 1030 on 1 June 2005 with Certificate #151 F. 1050 on 28 June 2006 with Certificate #248 F. 1016, 1018, 1040 (and possibly 1042 as well) have also been certified but I don't have those details right now. Marcel Massini
At the time of the red book certification of 1004 (22 November 2011) the car did NOT have a plexiglass rear window. Marcel Massini Image Unavailable, Please Login
Perfect like that. For some reason, the owner seems to be using different hoods. Image Unavailable, Please Login
How sad to see people doubt the great expertise of Mr. Massini. We all should be honoured and happy that a man with such an extended Ferrari knowledge provides this forum with all that valuable information, often accompanied by scans of vintage, ultra-rare documents. I am convinced some members here don't realise what kind of luxury that is. The priceless papers we sometimes are able to see here, thanks to Mr. Massini, we should be grateful for that. Please bear in mind, Mr. Massini has, apart from his desire to defend correct, historical facts, no interest in sharing all this info and documents. Let's show the respect such a generous man deserves, please. Now, for those who still doubt the Certificate of Auhenticity of # 1004, and a short summary of its racing history.
