488 Parking Sensor placement on the 488 Pista.

I always spec front and rear parking sensors + cameras on all Ferrari’s. However, on my Pista’s have to do without the fronts. Look too ugly

Me, too. It’s an essential option on any car for me but I left them out on the Pista.

However, they don’t look that distracting in real life at all. Without direct light from the side you barely notice them.

Frankly, I don't see the need for sensors at all, especially front. If you can't use your eyes, maybe you shouldn't be driving

 

Why are they so visible on a Pista? On a 488 gtb they are "normal".

Yes but I still went with the camera and NO parking sensors front or rear. Looks so much better and the cameras are sufficient.

 

On a side note we saw the F8 and Spyder at the show room again this week end . The F1 was cancelled and it looked like everyone was at the Ferrari dealership.

Back to the F8 I didn't know the black on the upper bonnet is just paint . I thought it was a different piece.

Not to alarm you but it looked like a 5 year old was taping up the part to be painted. It had no joke 9 creased angles ! Frankly if this part is painted black better just to get the whole bonnet same colour and then use vinyl.

Issue is when and if you Xpel the bonnet the black will be gloss or they have to cut that out and put the matt film on. Either way there will be a join line

 

Did front parking sensors only come with the camera on the Pista? Mine doesn’t have them, and I didn’t spec the camera.

 

It looks ugly. I did not spec it for that reason. Rear yes front, now way !
