Looks like a really nice car. I didn't know carbed models were still available in 1979. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1979-ferrari-400/
In May 2017 it costs me about $3000-3200 for dedicated container transport of my 92 348ts from London to Seattle. FYI to whomever may consider buying this 400 from Europe. Shipping to the US is pretty easy and surprisingly inexpensive considering what is going on. Cheaper than enclosed overland transport across the US these days. And since the car is over 25 years old, all DOT and EPA rules don't apply.
Good day Brian, This may be true for overall entry into the US... but for vehicle registration, places like California may still require these items along with the own requirements. Cheers, Sam
California being the one exception because of their emissions still applying to vintage cars, but otherwise.
Good day Brian, Indeed. I find it somewhat ironic, as CA is one of the car culture Centres of the World and yet have some of the worst draconian laws with regards to these same cars. Cheers, Sam
I’ve always liked the non-red 400’s and 412’s. It’s such a sophisticated looking car. A real gentleman’s Ferrari as Enzo called it. One day I’ll ad one to my small collection.
