Wow! Thanks everyone for such nice comments! What a credit it is to you specifically and to Ferrarichat to have people reply this way. I was really happy about the comments and it actually took me a couple of days to respond because truth be told I was a bit overwhelmed by how excited I am and your really nice comments. Thank you. The car is triple yellow with alcantara black inside with yellow leather stripe up the inside of the seat. I think the main exterior difference with the launch version of the TdF is the black carbon caps on the wheels and black calipers. The interior differences are focused on suggesting a track orientation (telemetry option, fire extinguisher option, etc). There were 600+ miles on the vehicle. Its not an out-of-range spec or heavily customized by the previous owner. I am excited to be driving the car. Unlike the other cars which I drive without any reservations, I will be careful about racking up miles here. But I will be enjoying it So fortunate to be alive. And so fortunate to be able to have this car. When I get a chance to do a comparison with my 812, I will start a new thread. Probably a month from now. Thanks again.
Ok...one picture. Dealership pulled the car out the back behind service for a quick picture. A cloudy day. Will have good pictures in a month. Image Unavailable, Please Login
That’s fantastic! Congratulations and welcome to your new love affair! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Giallo Triplo Strato is a colour that sometimes doesn’t photograph well, but it is absolutely stunning in the metal. The car is a dream to drive; a little twitchier than one would expect but that adds to the excitement! Comparing it to the 812, I must say the 812 is a much better daily driving proposition and doesn’t give much away on outright performance. I now drive mine daily and I still cannot believe that this car exists. However the TDF has a very different sense of occasion. You know you’re driving something that will not be repeated and personally I think it looks 10 times more beautiful than the 812. Enjoy it in good health and DON’T SELL IT!
I was bidding via phone on the TDF and “had it” until the price went a bit north of my early pandemic comfort level. Sadly.
A famous TdF now for sale confirming prices are softening I love the pure configuration of this car that I had the opportunity to admire during last Targa Florio. James is a very nice guy, I wish him good luck for future projects hoping to drink again some beers together soon!! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I think James may have bought that close to the top of the market! I know it doesn't matter to some, but I dread to think of the cost per mile. No one likes taking as bath.
Dare I say, this ones not representative of the general cross section of TDF owners. He bought the car for business purposes and the pandemic, as he admits himself, has killed his short term business plan. The cost to play was too high for his ownership model
Bought in June 2018 for £850k (per this post), which equates to approximately $1.122 million based on June 2018 rates (1.32 USD per GBP). Today for sale for £645k, which is $793k. It has covered nearly 4k miles since he bought it with delivery miles. $329k loss not including cost of insurance, maintenance, taxes, sales commission unless he can write it off for YouTube business purposes in the UK.
