do we know what software/system they are using? I know it is a Motorsport operation, but I haven't talked to anyone about it.
yeah, it's probably the best alternative to iracing, biggest difference is rfactor allows modding, creating your own car, etc (which is why a lot of race teams use it), whereas iracing controls all their content.
Should be great! Here's the PDF of the Entry Listing https://24virtual.lemansesports.com/upload/24H_Le_Mans_virtual_provisional_team_entry_list.pdf and the car livery entry list Spotter Guide https://24virtual.lemansesports.com/upload/Spotter%20guide%20LM%20Virtual%20V1%20SAFIES.pdf
I've been watching since we got locked down. It's a lot of fun. Some day I will have a nice SIM Race set up. I'll never be good, but I'll have fun. HUGE fan of Jimmy Broadbent as a Sim Racer. Here he was last week at Laguna Seca shunting my 1st ever favorite driver: Tweet— Twitter API (@user) date
Wow, best virtual racing effort I’ve seen so far. Great underlying program, great big name drivers, and great coverage.
that's fun to watch! very smooth driving. wonder why car is 49/51, if because other drivers then see how much he'll catch back. maybe I was watching from the beginning though.
With 15h to go some big names at top. In LMP leaders are #20 Image Unavailable, Please Login I'm not sure yet how to view the GTE results, because screen only showing the top 18 who are all LMP.
ouch, two of the biggest named drivers in the race quit because of penalty and software glitch. https://www.motorsport.com/gaming/news/alonso-virtual-le-mans-retirement/4806618/
meanwhile, a real 24 hourer.... https://livetiming.getraceresults.com/24hseries#screen-resultsx\ https://www.24hseries.com/races/24h-portimao-2020
C'mon! Stop exaggerating! 25% more than that. It was 15. https://www.24hseries.com/pdf/entrylist/24h-portimao-2020 Besides, waddaya' expect for Portugal??? During the "pandemic" yet.....
Try as I may, the cartoon versions of racing are boring no matter who is "driving" and just can't hang with it. They can trot out every name in the business, and from what I saw of the "Virtual Le Mans", they did including Tom K, Jacky Ickx, Derek Bell, etc. to lend credibility to the event but in reality it falls flat. For me, it is interesting to watch for maybe ten minutes and then its difficult to keep my eyes open whereas I'd usually watch 2/3rds of the real 24 Hours no problem. BHW
generally 24h Series has pretty decent grids, they get 40-50 for Dubai 24, so I was surprised how small this field was. maybe I shouldn't have been given CV19.
