There is approximately 100 different threads on this very topic and none of them came to a conclusion yet except everyone chanting "my car is better than yours". If the price delta makes sense to you, I would upgrade to either 488 or F8. I came from a 458 to a 488 currently. Haven't looked back since and won't be owning another 458 again.
In austin and yes I'm sorry...meant F8....typed too fast for my own good...around 20k over list F8 does look way better than the 488
20k over list for no wait sounds about right. If it’s what you want _now_ then it’s worth considering. If you’re indifferent, and the dealer is “talking you into it,” why bother? Wait some time, F8 prices will drop and a wider range of specs will be available. Or just spec as you like. Or just enjoy your present ride. tldr: that thing you want to do? Do that.
Wise dealer. Win-win for him: they’ll be selling a new car (F8) and will have absolutely no trouble reselling a 458. My dealer tempts me everytime I pull in for my yearly service. It’s great for the dealer. If it’s also great for you, go for it and don’t look back. Personally, I prefer to wait and bide my time until I’m better off (I don’t finance my toys) and pull the trigger on a new F8, instead of parting ways with my 458 in a part exchange deal. But if the dealer is offering you a sweet deal on your 458, and if you’re actively looking to move on, go for it. Doing it just because the dealer suggested it, I wouldn’t. Kind regards, Nuno.
If you are expecting a consensus good luck with that Let me help summarize for you - I own a 458 hence its the best thing ever I own a 488 hence its the best thing ever I have an F8 on order and im sure you can guess where this is going lol. Having owned a 458, presently owning a 488 and waiting for an F8 here is what i would say - This is the epitome of a first world problem with NO BAD OPTIONS. They are all somewhat different but all equally amazing. Best of luck whichever way you go!
That looks like their demo car, they have had it since January. I wouldn't pay $20k over sticker for it, I would order one and wait, drive your 458 in the meantime.
Do not pay over msrp for this. No chance. Buy it if you like the car, but get a fair trade on 458 and if a used F8- fair price on F8.
In today’s market it’s insanity to pay over list for a mass produced car. Tell them sticker or forget it.
Do it! I want to see an F8 driving around Austin. We have plenty of 458's driving around. Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I agree the Pista is very special. I would have a hard time letting go of my 458 though Image Unavailable, Please Login
