No but I am going to have fun deciding in the next week.
I have zero doubt I can walk I tomorrow and order a Pista. Zero. That car makes too much money for Ferrari.
It would make sense if they did this but they would also alienate much of their clientele as did Lmaborghini with the 19 iterations of the Aventador and then a special edition of the Evo. Short term gains for long term losses.
I called my dealer and he told me my Pista Spider was Status 40. I asked if the factory will be closing in August and my salesman wasn’t sure and told me he’d call Ferrari and find out. He emailed me a few minutes ago and told me the factory IS closing. I hope my Spider gets shipped before the factory shuts down. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Thanks for the update I’m surprised that they’re closing for august but can’t fault them for it. My pista is status 70 but who knows when it will go 90. If it arrives before Christmas, I’ll be stoked.
I was told its closing for 2 weeks instead of 4, unless new orders are so thin on the ground they are thinking to close anyway so as to keep the pipeline
They will start on the F8 VS when they are down to 500 sets of components, maybe 505 to allow for some release display units
Anybody have or know of a confirmed Pista or Pista Spider order that is not yet in production? Are the ones in production the end of the Pista run that Ferrari is trying to finish before the summer shutdown so they can change the production line? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Seems like irinvest who posted end of June about going in to spec would be the most likely to not even be 10green
My Spider only went 10 Red June 23rd and is now status 40 (3 weeks) so the last of the Pistas seem to be moving quite quickly. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Hi Neil my dealer told my Spider is stage 40 also and planned for end of July delivery....we will see.. rgds tamas
Hi Tamas, Most likely on the production line together. Hopefully we get pictures soon. I think our Spiders will be some of the last one’s produced. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
Hi NeilI got a mail this morning , first picture,... I am quite sure you will have it soon also ! They are sisters on the line ...
Can anyone tell me the expected time interval that would elapse between production photos 1, 2 and 3, and total production time from the time the first photo is made available? (Referring specifically to Pista models here) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
My pista coupe first photo was last Thursday, 2nd yesterday 3 rd will be in the next few days. Spoke to my dealer this morning and the car is actually complete and being tested with delivery to the UK by the end of the month . Can’t wait Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Is this the last group of Pistas being built or are there more confirmed orders that haven’t begun production? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
My first photo arrived when dealer said it was status 70 which is testing. Car arrived at dealer about 2 weeks later. Final 2 photos arrived after the car. My sequence may have been messed up by the factory shutdown during April though, However, mine went 10R (no spec changes) back in January, and stayed there for a long time. According to my German dealer, he is still waiting for a few more coupes and almost all of the spiders.
They always close in August. I would think since they have already closed before during covid19, they would not close later to make up the time lost.
