Can you post the repair bill that lists out the things that were done? Likely helps others in the future (and I’m curious)
Since it was warranty covered I did not receive a bill. It simply says goodwill on my receipt. They had to go in between where the outer panel and the subpanel meet and put a bonding agent. They also used these plastic spacers to lower the black mesh so it did not rub against the panels. Only time will tell. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Any reports of this bubbling also affecting MY2017 F12? I checked out a lovely one on offer. No obvious evidence of bubbling but I wonder if the relative age of the car may simply mean it hasn’t manifested.
Now that I have finally received my F12, and taking a brief look at it, I’m convinced this will happen to every car potentially. That mesh is just too damn close to the edge of the body, and there is flex that can result in them rubbing up against each other. Right now I’m taking care of the first F 12 issue that I have encountered, which is that my rear hatch was filled with water the first time I washed it. I have everything taken apart right now, and I am working on engineering a solution for the situation. i’m going to post my findings once I have it finished.
Interesting Are people preemptively putting in spacers? bummer about the water. I feel like the 458 spider (?) also has an issue w car wash sabotage. Good luck getting it sorted.
i know this is not for this thread but im pulling my hair out is this the right fluid that goes here Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ah I was just assuming you saw a friend of mine's He traded in his 17 white F12 at Velocity last month. I've done some rides in that car and I've been dreaming of a V12 ever since. His spec was incredible with white, last MY for F12, and race seats/carbon everywhere... I was even flirting with the idea of buying it and keeping it myself but no dice
Ahh, very cool I didn’t see that one This is a Black 17 w all the carbon but full electrics and high miles. I shouldn’t but I’m tempted. You gonna get a V12 at some point?
Oh bummer, that was the one to have locally IMO (it had <10k miles too). Maybe you can ask Ron or someone if they know the whereabouts/if that one still available? I don't blame you either, next car I own will be the front engine V12 from Maranello. Keeping powder dry for the tdf next year, hoping 812 VS will create a bit more supply and over time a few more tdfs with miles show up. Want to pair her with the Speciale if I can...
I now get it. had a couple hour test drive in the 2017F12. Decided not to buy that one but I will absolutely own one in the future. I never even got sustained WOT and I’m hooked.
hard to get sustained WOT on city streets because of the acceleration. i just did it in 2nd and 3rd gears on the access roads that run parallel to highways. it's terrifying.
Hello everyone I recently purchased Ferrari F12, and now have issue with piling paint. The North America Ferrari said that I'm out of lack because I do not have warranty, for this car. Is there anything that I can do? thank you Image Unavailable, Please Login
It is a well known issue, they should take care of it. Most cars were affected. Should have been a recall for the proactive fix.
